Good product on heavy side. But strength is seldom light
There’s all kinds of hand guards being manufactured for 5he AR PLATFORMS. Some barely pass as recycle scrap. Some hand guards are combat/law enforcement duty tuff. This handguard is of the later quality. It’s a shame they aren’t produced any longer. I hope someone picks them up.

Needs to be better protected for shipping
The product came in in less than perfect condition. Would almost say used condition as to the bunch of small scratches and minor dents. I would presume from shipping due to poor packaging . Would recommend putting it in a box with bubble wrap not just a bag with one layer of bubble wrap .

Bought this for my projec
Bought this for my project. I looked high and low for a good looking and functional free float. This fit the bill. I first made the mistake of trying to cut corners and buy a cheap one. It was cheap and didn't fit right. Got this one put on the barrel nut slipped this hand guard on. Then tightened the Allen screws. Love the monolithic look. Took it to the range sighted it in with a new scope. All my friends are jealous! If you want a unique and well built free float handguard this is one! If you want to fit in you can get the classic quad rail. It's your choice. I would get this one again in a heartbeat! It is well built and made right!

First off:- The barrel nu
First off:- The barrel nut FITS on a HBAR barrel (Mine is a 20' DPMS with .98' diameter under the handguard). With an MBUS, it has a rifle length sight radius. - MAGPUL polymer rails will bolt on with minimal modification and standard hardware. This is the best engineered barrel nut replacement system I've seen. Stupid simple design. Goes on/off easy. No proprietary tools. Absolutely solid lock. It has tabs that index to the upper receiver (like every free-float rail SHOULD have). At 14oz, it is ~4oz heavier than the similar 13' Troy Alpha Rail. I love both, but the superior ergonomics on the Diamondhead are worth the weight every time in my mind (much of the added weight is in the beefy, steel barrel nut, making the perceived 'swing weight' almost completely comparable with the Troy).I wish it came in FDE or OD.

This is not the lightest
This is not the lightest handguard out there but with the cut outs for your hand, it has to be one of the strongest and best looking ones out there. Installation was simple with no special tools required. If you want a rocking AR, put one of their T-Brakes with it. Massive recoil reduction with great looks!

I have a small gun shop, specialize in custom ar-15's. I went ahead and played the geune pig. I ordered it,.and as soon as it hit my hands I knew it was my favorite, I have.so many builds, from troy, spike, seekins on and on, this hand guard feel even better the it looks.. way to go diamonhead. I have sold several right out of the gate. Everyone that touched it fell in love.. get this product before I buy the all...lol.. great product.

I bought this handguard f
I bought this handguard for a build I was doing on my platoon leaders AR. This was the first AR I built for someone other than my family. When I presented him with his first AR he was smiling from ear to ear. He loved the rail and he said this was the best AR he had since he been in the US Army for 13 year. I held off buying a free-
I held off buying a free-float hand-guard for years, because they just didn't seem to be enough of an upgrade to justify the cost. Then I saw this sexy beast. It is absolutely built like a tank, and is far more solid than it needs to be. Feels wonderful in the hand, because your fingers naturally drop right into the grooves. The diameter is just about perfect for keeping a bulletproof grip, as even a medium-sized hand can touch thumb and fingers to the top rail. A large hand can wrap completely around.Installation is straightforward and relatively easy, the hardest part being installing the necessary low-profile gas block. I could not be happier with this purchase, and I got a great deal and quick shipping from CTD. Nobody who buys this product will be unhappy with it.

Is this handguard compatible with m-lok style rail attachment system, or another design?

This handguard uses Diamondhead's VRS-T rail system. However, we have a Seekins handguard with a flat bottom that will accept M-Lok rails/accessories. Check out item # 125480.
Will this fit a bushmaster ar15?
