Went together perfectly. Start to finish including custom build lower bought from 80% was less than 2 hours. And i never built one before. The instructions on this site are good but they should include how to complete final assembly of rifle after building upper. Amazing product to build!
Amazing product to build! High quality parts and impressive trigger to boot! Two things that keep it from a 5 star rating are as follows: first, the parts were all in one bag. No biggie if you know what you're doing... I didn't but figured it out pretty quick. Second, it was missing the buffer retainer. I'm currently in pursuit of it from DTI and I'm sure it will be handled but I have to be honest about that aspect. Everything else is simply amazing. I'm impressed with DTI and cheaper than dirt.

Can you remove the front sight from the barrel?

Yes, but you would need a replacement gas block.
Could I put my own red dot on this? Also does it come with the railing for a foregrip?

You can put any optic on this. This does not include a railed fore arm.

Does this literally come with everything I need except the lower receiver to make a complete rifle? I already have a stripped lower but I just wanted to be sure I would be getting everything pictured/what I need. I will get all of the magpul furniture shown? And the tube for the buttstock? AR-15 rifles chambered for .223/5.56 with threaded muzzles are threaded 1/2x28. That is an industry standard.
Don't know much about the AR 15, I am new to the AR 15, wanting it for the shooting range plus home self protection, so is this a good choice at this price point, and what about a 20 inch stainless steel barrel with a SS flash guard, can I opt to exchange completed uppers? And would that be a good choice? I do want the magpul, mil spec. Thank you!
