Easy to convert to use M4 set screw
I'm just a consumer who likes to tinker and shoot my guns. If you're looking for a A2 front sight this the best product on the market. It's made of steel, the fit and finish is top notch, has serrations, and the sight post is easy to adjust and is secure. I installed this onto my parkerized Criterion hybrid barrel and the finish of the two are an exact match. So sexy once properly oiled up. The .750" ID is tight on the barrel with no play. There's only one pin hole drilled which vertically aligns with the gas port. It's very close to the forward edge of the rear support. A Metric 4 thread is the most suitable for the pre-drilled hole and was easy to tap. The set screw sits perfectly in the barrel dimple and is secure enough with thread locker. It's not as secure as being pinned but it does make it easier to remove and doesn't open up the hole if ever needing to be removed. I've only shot about 20 rounds to make sure my rifle cycled properly but the single set screw stayed firm. I intend to drill out the front lug and install another set screw. The only con I can think of is that if you want to convert to an adjustable gas block you'd have to drill it out from the rear or if trying to go from the side there's a ledge that might make the bit walk. However, if you have 14" mid-length gas system, a non flash hider muzzle device (I use an AFAB), upper that's ramped lapped and headspaced, full weight BCG, and carbine buffer there should be no issue. The gun cycles great and shoots soft with 55 gr factory reloads. My groups? I suck, but I can hit chest sized steel targets at 200 yards no prob with irons. Pros: parkerized finish Cons: Front support lug does not have a hole

Does this item come with a set screw? Also, if my barrel already has a set screw dimple, do I still need to take it to a gunsmith? Or does the gas block come with the bottom hole already drilled out like it shows in the picture?
Answer: It does not come with a set screw, we recommend any installation of components be done by a qualified gunsmith
When you say the part requires drilling, does that only mean threading the set screw hole or do you mean drilling for the 2nd taper pin hole?
Answer: You will need to drill and ream for both the taper pin holes
I have a dpms panther arms ar15. Would this be a good replacement?
Answer: This item requires a gunsmith for installation; it is recommended to consult with one before purchasing.
Can you confirm part number matches picture shown? The DD website doesnt list a .750 FSB like this.
Answer: The picture and description are correct.
Is this sight classified as an " F" marked or will I need to get a taller sight post
Answer: It will work with any standard AR-15 rear sight.
Is this sight considered F marked or would it need a taller front sight post
Answer: It will work with any standard AR-15 rear sight.
Will this be compatible with flat-top style upper receiver for AR's.
Answer: Yes it will.
Does this item come in an AR10 size? 0.875"?
Answer: Daniel Defense does not list one in that size on their web site.
Does this part require any drilling?
Answer: Yes. This front sight will require drilling, reaming and the installation of the included taper pins.
