Daniel Defense AR-15 barrels are cold hammer forged, a method that produces barrels that are more accurate and last longer. This barrel features the Daniel Defense S2W (strength to weight) profile and has a 1:8" twist rate and pistol-length gas system. The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24. The chrome moly vanadium alloy steel barrel is finished inside and out with a salt bath nitride treatment that resists wear and corrosion.
