This breech plug will only work on Wolf, Optima and Accura V2 rifles after it has been fitted to the barrel. It will not work on any gun not originally designed to use the QRBP. Will not work on the Apex rifle.

Initial Install Setup
Screwed the new plug in my CVA Accura V2 but breech would not close. As noted on instructions, plug had to be installed and tightened down pretty good with pliers before breech would close enough to allow hammer to be cocked. Breech face has to be very clean as any buildup of residue could prevent breech from closing enough for weapon to be cocked. Keep pliers handy during initial use. Once installed plug worked fine- 110gr. Blackhorn 209 and 250gr. Barnes T-EZ produced 1" 3 shot group at 100 yds. I can live with that.

CVA Blackthorn Breech plu
CVA Blackthorn Breech plug arrived quickly and instructions for use were clear and concise. Breech plug worked flawlessly and is easy to screw in and more importantly remove after firing. I would suggest to use a quality anti seize grease on the threads before installing and after cleaning. The Blackhorn powder is fantastic along with Fiocchi primers. Real tack driver!
