Tiny Tighe Breaker Folding Knife -
The Tiny Tighe Breaker is available with CRKT's patented OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have manually opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. CRKT built in the patented AutoLAWKS™ that automatically actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual fixed blade. For the first time in a production knife, they were able to use cell-phone manufacturing technology to create nylon scales with an extremely durable textured metallic coating. Materials and construction are both first rate.
The 3" modified Tanto blade is AUS-8 stainless at 56-58 Rc. The standard model features a high satin blade finish, while the "K" models receive a non-reflective black titanium nitride coating. Dual stainless steel thumb studs allow fast either hand opening. The rigid InterFrame is built with two stainless steel liners, one locking, and a solid Zytel® back spacer.
The fluted handle, while graceful, is primarily designed for sure grip, with deep dual finger choils and a pronounced pommel. Knife includes a custom removable stainless steel clothing and gear clip. Finally, the black on black model is available with plain edge or combo edge grinds featuring CRKT's exclusive Veff™ Serrated edges. Developed by Oregon City, Oregon, knife designer Tom Veff, these serrations are wide and angled at 60 degrees to the edge. The resulting cutting points bite instantly and dig deep upon contact, slicing smoothly and effortlessly. It measures 3-7/8" closed and weighs 2.9 ounces. All three models are also available as non assisted one hand openers.
Tanto Blade -
This knife blade was inspired by the shape of the Japanese sword blades. The point to this style blade is in line with the spine of the blade. The tanto has a reinforced point which is thick and strong and is good for heavy duty stabbing cuts.
Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.
Veff™ Serrations -
Many CRKT models feature exclusive patented serrations developed by Tom Veff for exceptionally fast, smooth cutting.
AUS 8 -
A Japanese made medium carbon, high chromium stainless steel, which offers a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness and corrosion resistance.

AutoLAWKS™ -
CRKT is the only manufacturer to offer our exclusive automatic version of the LAWKS system. A strong internal spring actuates the LAWKS system automatically when the blade is opened and locked.
