The incredibly lightweight Cold Steel Mini Tac Knife can be worn 24 hours a day without every getting in the way. With their sturdy bead chain lanyards and rugged Secure Ex sheaths, they can be worn outside clothing and perform as a handy utility or rescue knife. Built from AUS 8A stainless steel and state of the art heat treatment they are honed to a razor edge and exhibit incredible toughness for such a small knife, due in part to their full tang construction. Tough, rough and ready for anything the Mini Tac comes equipped with thin high quality black G-10 Griv-Ex style handle scales. This feature allows the knife to lay flat and close against the body to provide an aggressive gripping service.

I just got this blade tod
I just got this blade today, so I can't speak to its durability, only the fit and finish and the design:The knife looks and feels good in hand, and has an adequate traction plan. The jimping along the spine of the blade is descent, and does help to lock your thumb in place, though it could be more aggressive. The 'faux' G-10 scales are removable and provide comfortable traction sporting a medium-ish level of texture. The satin finish of the blade looks excellent, and contrasts nicely with the scales. The primary blade was not as sharp as I would expect from an out-of-the-box Cold Steel product. The blade tip was hazardously sharp, as a Cold Steel blade should be from the factory. The Secure-Ex sheath is exceptional in quality, however the addition of a side clip would expand its versatility. Also, the design could be improved to expose more of the handle for drawing the blade.Aside from the blade not being uniformly sharpened (yours may be), the only complaint I have is that the blade is difficult to draw. This is due to the 3 and 1/4 finger handle being half in the sheath when retained. This however can be corrected with a small 550-cord lanyard, looped through the last handle hole. I'd recommend a king-cobra wrap which would approximately match the width of the handle.
