Feed issues
Holds the rounds but won't feed them into the chamber without upward force on the bottom.

Feeding Issues
A relatively expensive item marketed as being engineered for the 458 Socom. Feeding issues galore. I modified (dremel) it post my first visit to the range. I hope the modification works. According to what I learned online I could have bought 7 to 8 mags for what I paid for two of these.

Modify you own .556 steel
Still jams .458 socom on my bear creek upper , I modified my own aluminum "30rd" service mags they work better than this lancer mag, not a worthless mag because you can still use .556/223 out of it, it shipped fast & arrived fast no complaints on cheaper than dirts end, great company but it's better to mod or invest in a Wilson combat .458 7rd mag instead

Not sure if price is justified.
I purchased 2 of these for a 458 build based on the product description. I didn't want to modify a magazine and potentially ruin it, do I got these as dedicated 458 magazines. Once I received then I compared them to some lancer mags I already have. Other than the 468 marking I was unable to find any difference between this an a standard 30rd Lancer mag. So unless I missed something the premium price on these are not justified. For what was spent on 2 of these I could have bought 4 regular mags and still put 458 rds in them.

Best I have found
If you have pieced together a 458 SOCOM, you too, may have gone through hell trying to modify other magazines to consistently feed your ammo. This magazine pretty much ended all of my feed problems. I bought one just to check it out. Now I'm back for more.

Outstanding mag
The modified metal end allowing to use this polymer magazine for 458 socom rounds is outstanding. I prefer this mag to regular ar 15 metal mags for the 458 round. It allows the round to sit perfectly for feeding. I can also use for my 556 rounds but have chosen to use specifically for the 458. I would recommend this to others that shoot the 458.
