The sight works great. I
The sight works great. I keep it strapped to stock, under check rest. I shoot slugs with long barrel and found this sight handy to check the zero on my vortex sight. I was using a boresighter that you stick in end of barrel but takes time to carry case, put together. Then I'm not sure it,s tight enough to the inside of barrel without breaking plastic piece. So this sight mark bore sighter works great and fast.

I read the instructions,
I read the instructions, followed them, and the light worked fine. Wash your hands so you don't contaminate the contacts with dirty hands. Common sense stuff. The batteries did not die quickly like others experienced. In fact, they are still good after 20 - 30 minutes of sighting in and experimentation. I say 'experimentation' because I wanted to see how concentric the dot was on the target when I rotated the laser cartridge. I marked the end of the cartridge with a sharpie marker and then loaded the cartridge with the mark at 3:00, 6:00, 9:00, and 12:00. The laser dot moved around by .75' at 10 yards. That's 1.5' @ 20 yards, 2.25' @ 30 yards, etc. The dot, at 10 yards, was kind of big and fuzzy, say .5' to .75' in diameter. This is not a super high precision tool, but it does what it's meant to do. It gets you on paper close enough to then go to the range and dial in your sights. I set mine with the laser cartridge loaded so the dot was in the middle of far left and far right. That way, I should only have to adjust for elevation at whatever distance I'm shooting for. Yes, pun intended. It will save some time and ammo at the range. Do you need it? Maybe not. Is it convenient? Sure. Good product for the price.

It looks cool and rock so
It looks cool and rock solid built, but the battery last about 15 seconds after I turned it on. I strongly advise anyone to not waste your money on this item. Save more money buying ammo from Cheaper Than Dirt!

Does what its supposed to
Does what its supposed to do, but..... I have a $5 laser pointer from Walmart's pet section that has better focus and intensity than the laser in this product. It works well for my 870 Slug gun where I'm setting zero's out to 100yrds. Not so sure I'll be buying any for my large caliber rifles though.
