10mm pistols can become 10mm shotguns quite easily. All they need is the right ammo. And that ammo? It’s called “CCI Pest Control Shotshell.”
10mm pistols can’t become very powerful shotguns – relative to other shotguns, at least. This round’s 105 grain (0.24 ounce) payload of #9 lead shot (140 pellets, 0.08” diameter) has a muzzle velocity of 1,250 fps (5” test barrel). It’s much weaker than a .410 Bore shell, but it’s as good a shotshell as you’re ever going to chamber in your 10mm, and it undeniably annihilates rodents, snakes, and other vermin at extremely close range (5 yards, give or take).
Do not fire CCI Pest Control Shotshell ammunition through a ported barrel or compensator. Doing so can deflect shot pellets back at you.
Aluminum cases aren’t reloadable.
