The unique design, a single-joint frame, provides great stability and length and is simple to adjust by loosening the lock knob and adjusting the angle between the frame halves. The offset design allows for left or right-handed shooting with adequate clearance for extended magazines, lever actions and rolling blocks. Fully adjustable overmolded front and rear supports hold your gun securely while protecting the stock and forend. This super sturdy rest accommodates virtually any rifle, and folds quickly for easy transport and storage.

For the cost, this rest works very well. I can put my hunting rifles and assault rifles on it. I fit 20 rd but not 30 rd magazines with it. I tie the barrel to the rest using bailing twine, and it keeps it pretty sturdy. Add a sandbag or lead bag, and it's a keeper.

Bought this rest to use for an AR as well as other rifles and have loved it...light and adjustable...beats packing sand-bags and easier to setup and repeat shots.

This is more useful as a stand for working on your gun than as a shooting rest. This can be used in lieu of a bipod for the front, but very difficult to align front and rear to truly use as a shooting rest. It is also almost impossible to get repeatable shots.

Well I've gotta say this
Well I've gotta say this product is pretty darn good. Bought it expecting it to end up another shot in the dark with bad results, but I used it to re zero my .17 HMR today and hugely improved my groups. Love the product and Caldwell is now one of my preferred companies to try again.

If anything, this makes a great stand for cleaning/inspecting your hunting rifle or sighting a scope. As far as a shooting rest, it gets the job done, but plan on using this in combination with sand bags. Steel tube construction and steel lock nuts help lock the elbow at a fixed angle during weapon discharge. It is light-weight, so it has a tendency to jump off the table when shooting a large caliber rifle (in my case a 30-06). I just weighted down the angles with Caldwell sandbags with great results. This product surpasses the bulky plastic rests I've used in the past.

This is a great bench rest. light and portable, yet durable. both arms swivle and can be adjusted to your gun length. the only complaint i have is that you cannot tilt the barrel of the gun up or down more than a certin angle due to the screw system that is used, but using sand bags under the rest alots for more angle. great buy. thanks again ctd.
