THIS IS REMANUFACTURED AMMUNITION. It was reloaded in a factory using previously fired brass cases.
What does that mean? On the plus side, it means this 40 S&W range ammo is *substantially* cheaper than the factory fresh stuff. On the downside, remanufactured ammo is widely considered to be less reliable than the factory fresh stuff (and rightly so).
Firing this ammo may also void your firearm manufacturer’s warranty. Review your firearm’s manual, or contact its manufacturer if you are unaware of the ramifications of firing reloaded/remanufactured ammo.
Bitterroot Valley Ammunition Company (BVAC) remanufactures ammunition with great care in the great state of Montana. This ammo’s brass cases may have been around the block already, but its 180 grain full metal jacket bullets are brand new (i.e. not previously fired). Each nonmagnetic projectile hovers over a charge of clean-burning propellant and a noncorrosive Boxer primer.
This is loose-packed ammo. The manufacturer did not disclose its muzzle velocity to us. We have not tested it, although we believe 1,000 fps (4” test barrel) to be a reasonable estimation.
