BUTLER CREEK 25 ROUND A.22LR MAGAZINE.
I purchased the butler creek 25 round magazines(2) for my Savage A.22LR the rifle came with a 10 round magazine so now with the butler creek mags, i have 60 available rounds for the fox and coyotes seeking a free meal of my jersey giant chickens plus i have more rounds for target practice i find the butler creek magazines easy to load and they are very well made i highly recommend this magazine to other A.22LR owners.

Works well when clean
It can be hard to seat into the gun sometimes but after you break them in a bit it gets easier. Also you have to clean them often or you start to get FTF's. Bring a can of cleaner/oil in your range bag because if you start to get failures to feed you can just squirt a bit in the top to knock the junk down that the rounds build up because .22's are so dirty to shoot. One thing I'm thinking about trying is polishing the integral feed ramp to see if I get less FTF's. Its a rough cast aluminum.

Absolute junk
This Magazine is a piece of junk. It requires constant jiggling around to halfway make it work. I have found that it will pick up the round sometimes but will not ever feed it into the chamber without a lot of wiggling and jiggling. I almost bought 2 of them, but decided to only buy one to see how it worked first. I'm glad I only wasted money on one instead of 2. Save your money, don't buy this piece of garbage. Your money would be better spent on Powerball lottery tickets.

I do not recommend this product!
Mine locks into place well, but will not feed properly. I have two, and they both do the same thing. Factory mags work fine. I'll tweek them I guess when I get time to do so. I was sure hoping for more! Pros: It holds 25 rounds. LOL! Cons: It won't shoot em all though!

It works
I have a Savage b22 FV. I bought just one of these to make sure it worked before I bought a second one. It does work with some finesse to actually place the magazine in the firearm and get it to clip you have to rock the clip forward and it eventually clips. I had multiple feeding issues at first. after one run of the magazine it seemed to decrease. A little hint that I picked up was jostling the bolt action back and forth a couple of times when loading and it seemed to eventually get into the barrel. I did buy another one so I can have two banana magazines I also do have some original magazines. I raided this three stars because of the fitting issue where you rock forward quite aggressively to get it to clip and because of the multiple feeding issues that I first encountered and still have to jostle back and forth through the magazine. Is there any other magazine that allows more than 10 rounds? I don't believe so, so this will do for now. I bought this at a local shop and not from cheaper than dirt. Pros: It is easy to load this magazine. Cons: Multiple misfire codes with the first load

save your money
The magazine fit is loose. There is play front to back and side to side. It appears the back of the magazine sits too low, causing failure to feed. If you put some pressure on the end of the mag, the round will pick up, but not feed.

Poor Design
I bought two of these and haven't been able to fire a single round from either of them. They won't mate with the A22. They fit into the magazine opening, but won't stay in place. The plastic clip doesn't hold them in place. Also when loading rounds into the magazine it is easy to get them out of alignment such that the rounds are pointing the wrong direction.

SMH
I'd heard nothing but good things about this product, so I bought two for my new Savage A22. Loaded with 25 rounds, and first round won't feed properly - I tried multiple times but could not shoot the first round. The factory mag works fine, so I know it's not the gun. Very disappointed.
