This magazine for the Savage A17 is produced by Butler Creek and is Savage Arms approved. It has an all metal header and feed lips for positive feeding, an anti-tilt follower, and a stainless steel spring. It holds 25 rounds of .17 HMR ammo. It can be loaded traditionally, or by using the red loading assist button on the side. The magazine is aggressively textured for a sure grip and positive control. Two magazines can be connected together for double the firepower.

Would not recommend
Most rounds get jammed up. Constant failure to feed due to tip of ammo Higher than rear, therefore doesn't catch, damaging/denting next round. Extremely disappointed. Cons: -Many failure to feed issues

I would NOT but this magazine
Round will not chamber. Repeated problem as cartridge is inserted tilted up to far causing the brass to hang up on chamber edge. Could not solve the problem. Several people tried and failed. The stock magazine works perfectly, this Butler for A17 does not work.

One of the nicer magazines I have bought!!!
I bought these in hopes that they would be a good fit for me A-17. Well I will say that are a perfect fit and work very well. I wanted to put them through my normal testing as I do with everything. I found these not only to be a perfect fit, but very good quality and had no fails in function. I love the fact that it has marking on it to show you how many you have remaining in them and that you can put two of them together without using a clip of any sort. They are factory built to put two together. I would also like to add that the load assist button/slide is a wonderful feature. Pros: Good Quality
