Steel Lips "Smoke" = Opaque BLACK
I bought 5 of the steel lips in SMOKE. Every other manufacturer seems to understand what that means (as does Butler Creek in the hot lips version as I own some of those, but they have feeding issues). These steel lips "smoke" magazines are opaque BLACK. Just get the clear version. They are closer to smoke than these.

Seems like poor quality and/or quality control
Brand new out of the package the 22 LR ammo does not slide in the mag. Can see the ammo is jamming making this new mag worthless.

Forget Hot Lips. Get Steel Lips
I have one of these and a Butler Creek Steel Lips magazine. This one seats loose and only feeds reliably if the magazine is pushed/angled forward. No problem with Steel Lips magazine. Wish I hadn't bought this one.

Best mag I have, for my .22
Steel lips last a lot longer than plastic. The side plate comes up a bit giving you something to push into when reloading by hand which makes the process easier and faster. As previously stated steel lips hold up much better, I love my ruger more than any other firearm that I own, when shooting I tend to start dumping rounds down range very fast (and accurately) causing things to heat up, a lot. Plastic does not like hot. Did I mention that I love shooting my ruger? Love my ruger!

Sloppy fit, jams, and not usable on some 10/22s
Unless you hold the mag forward, it mis-feeds about 1 in 8. I have the ZK-22 (P90) conversion and these have a tab in the side that prevent insertion in the firearm. Cons: Poor Quality

Jams Gun twice every load
Clips jam about 2 times per fill. Excessive gap between magazine wall and magazine allows magazine to rock and cause bullet to hit barrel and jam gun. Ruger rotary is snug at 1-11/32 inches. Butler Creek is very sloppy at 1-14/32 inches.

Feels slightly cheap and
Feels slightly cheap and has feeding issues when it is new, as it breaks in tends to get better, great for the price as a cheap alternative

I've been using 3 of thes
I've been using 3 of these for 4 years now. They're a great product for a good prices, and the extra capacity is nice. I only load 20 rounds in each though, because whenever I fill them with 25 rounds they almost always jam. Seems like the spring gets too tight when they're full.
