Buffalo Bore Magnum Lever Action ammo has all the features a hunter could want. This example, in .45-70 Government, is a prime choice for big game hunters. It's loaded with a 430 grain lead flat nosed LBT bullet which it fires at 1925 fps. It's an excellent round for taking down moose, bear, or buffalo.
Buffalo Bore .45-70 ammunition is externally identical to SAAMI spec 45-70 ammo, but internally it generates FAR more power and pressure. So, the .45-70 ammo will fit into ANY .45-70 firearm, but is not safe in every 45-70 firearm. Its use should be limited to the following firearms: All Marlin 1895 (1895 Marlins are all model 336 actions, chambered in .45-70) iterations made since 1972, all Browning 1885 and 1886 copies, New England Arms Handi Rifle, T/C Encore, ALL falling block actions made of modern steel such as Ruger #1 and #3, Shiloh, Christian and Persoli Sharps, all Winchester 1886 iterations made since 1915 and all Siamese Mauser bolt actions.

Suitable for ANY Animal that walks the Earth
I can tell you from personal experience that this round will go all the way through a mature Boar Grizzly Bear; the LONG WAY! This round would be suitable for Bison, Moose, Elk, Bears, etc. as long as you are within 200 yards. I'm positive that it will shoot and be deadly much farther, but you really need to practice at longer distances because 430 grain bullets were not really meant to be long range ammo. The wound channel these leave is very large and impressive to say the least.

Bought this round to go buffalo hunting with a friend this winter. Nice, accurate round that packs a serious punch. Good for any big game.

I have a new Pedersoli single shot rolling block rifle. It's not the Sharps falling block model. Is that a safe gun to fire this ammo in?
Answer:
No. The list of arms was provided by Buffalo Bore. If your rifle is not listed in the description, then this ammo should not be used in the rifle.
