The 380 ACP is an extremely useful cartridge: small, and accordingly fit for small pistols. Unfortunately, with smaller size comes smaller power … unless Buffalo Bore is the one loading the cartridge, that is.

This is 380 ACP +P ammunition. It is loaded to a higher pressure than SAAMI standards call for, and accordingly requires the use of a modern, +P rated pistol. Its higher pressure launches the 95 grain bullet HARD. By Buffalo Bore’s measure, muzzle velocity from a 2.75” barrel is ~1,030 fps; a 3.5” barrel, 1,120 fps; a 3.75” barrel, 1,145 fps.

The full metal jacket flat nose projectile is totally incapable of terminal expansion, and therefore invests all of its energy into deep penetration. It’s not a guaranteed instant KO. You still need to manifest proper shot placement, as is always the case in a self-defense scenario. But thanks to this round’s powerful, unexpanding and deep-penetrating bullet, you can take confidence that you can reach the threat’s heart if need be.
