The flat on the nose ensures that the bullet will cut/smash its way through flesh and bone and do much more destruction than typical round nose FMJ bullets. I purchased this ammuniti
I purchased this ammunition based on a recommendation of a friend who uses the flat nose and +P versions of this brand. I own a new Sig Sauer P238, and based on information from Sig Sauer I was told not to use +P in the P238 so I was looking for a standard pressure load. With 380 ammunition being in short supply I decided to find another brand that would work like other reliable brands I have used (Hornady Critical Defense 90 gr JHP my preferred ammunition,and Federal HydraShok 90 gr JHP,and Remington Golden Saber 102 gr JHP also excellent quality and reliable ammunition).The Buffalo Bore 90 gr JHP 'standard pressure' round is a little more powerful round than what I have shot before, but not unpleasant to shoot. Recoil is manageable,and recovery is quick enough for consistent and accurate shot placement follow-up. The bullets are of quality construction, clean burning, little fouling, had no malfunctions feeding or firing 50 rounds,and had low flash in a low lighted outdoor range environment as promised. I believe this would make a good defense round with the extra power, reliable feeding and accurate attributes of the bullet. I was pleased with the purchase and would consider future purchases.
