Blazer designed this Clean-Fire .40 S&W ammunition to do three things: minimize your exposure to lead, save you money, and provide you with a rewarding and instructive solution to target practice.
This round’s bullet is not an FMJ. It is a TMJ: same lead core, albeit with a copper jacket which totally shields its base. The heat of ignition will not burn lead off of a TMJ, which translates to:
• A cleaner range
• A cleaner firearm
• Less lead inhalation
Blazer went one step further by loading this round with a special primer. It is free of lead, barium and antimony – all heavy metals which have no business inside of you!
This ammo is loaded with aluminum cases. They’re specially heat-treated to ensure reliable functionality in a semi-automatic, but they are NOT reloadable. Blazer actually loads this ammo with Berdan-style primers, which would shut down any attempt at handloading right out of the gate.
Clean-Fire series cartridges’ recoil and point of impact are both comparable to those of analogous 180 grain 1,000 fps MV (4” bbl) self-defense loads.
