You don’t have to pull your hair out looking for a great deal on bulk .357 Magnum target ammunition. You don’t have to put any thought into your search at all, in fact, because you’ve already zeroed in on a 20-box case of Blazer’s American-made Brass series ammo!

This cartridge’s muzzle velocity is 1,250 fps. That figure was recorded at the end of a 4” long test barrel; vented, to mimic the consequence of a revolver’s cylinder gap. That and its 158 grain bullet weight give the round reasonably close ballistic performance to several analogous hunting loads. For instance, Federal Premium’s Hydra-Shok and Fusion 158gr rounds share the same bullet weight and virtually identical muzzle velocity.

The bullet itself is a full metal jacket, with a flat nose profile similar to that of an SP or JHP. The FMJ FN is nonexpanding, though we wouldn’t put our money on any varmint that gets hit by one.

Some Blazer ammo is loaded with aluminum cases. Blazer Brass is loaded otherwise, and reloadable.
