Just like all BLACKHAWK brand holsters. Snug fit. Easy and smooth draw. No adjustment necessary.

I wasn't sure how the push button release would be without a hands-on, but after an hour of ready-ups I love it. It pulls smooth with my cheap Tisas 1911, and goes back in just as easy with a satisfying click to know its locked in. Just drill the release location into your memory, which is conveniently where your finger should be on the pistol when its not on the trigger, firing. It might even passively train a few who don't have that discipline locked in.

I have purchased other Blackhawk products and they are a perfect fit made for a specific type. My RIA 1911 and my Sig 1911 fit very tight and are not very easy to deploy or when holstering the weapons. I took out the tension device out and it works a little better.. It is a universal type of holster though. Came with belt and paddle attachments. Very well made and may become better with use but still a little too tight

This holster works great
This holster works great with my Springfield Range Officer. The 'click' is nice to let you know it's locked in. The release is perfect and very natural. I can see why this gets great reviews. 100 percent satisfied.

I own a Springfield Light
I own a Springfield Lightweight Operator & it fits in this holster perfectly. It has an audible 'click' when your firearm is inserted & locked in place. A slight depress w/ your index finger releases the pistol from the holster & your finger naturally rides in the :safe' position next to the slide. PERFECT duty holster. Perfect holster for practicing drills & can;t wait to use it in an upcoming competition. Practice makes perfect & this holster makes practicing fun! Buy it, you won't regret it...Thanks again CTD, got it on sale for $37 & it was a bargain!

I am currently considerin
I am currently considering cutting this holster off of my Para Ordinance Night Tac. It went in easily enough and now is not able to be withdrawn. I have quite a bit of familiarity with the Serpa holster as I have used them with my Beretta 92 on a daily basis and while on duty. The Holster Search Wizard just took a Wiz on me. Suggest you contact Blackhawk at 757-436-3101.

MUCH better than similar
MUCH better than similar brand holsters! This fits a Taurus 1911 beautifully, doesn't scratch the pistol (which has been a problem for me with other polymer holsters) and the retention system is great! Just press the button located directly over the trigger guard and your 1911 can either be in the ready-to-be-drawn position or out of the holster and on target. It has the combination of being a rock solid retention holster and also being capable of a quick draw. This is easily the best quality holster I've used and after having it, I can honestly say that it would've been worth twice the price! If you own a 1911 this is the only holster you should be considering.

I bought a Serpa for my K
I bought a Serpa for my Kimber desert warrior, which has a rail. It is one of three holsters that I know of that will fit it, this holster, an STI edge double stack holster, and a 5.11/blade-tech holster. I used it in the IDPA Nevada state championship and finished 3rd. However I do know a person who almost shot himself with this holster after he forgot to put the safety on his 1911. As long as you're not being stupid with your gun, the holster will work.

I didnt buy form CTD and
I didnt buy form CTD and paid much more but this baby is more than worth it this isnt just a holster its the basis of a holster system it can be a shoulder holster, leg rig, or molle mountable via the optional acessories not in this package but this is the heart of the system expext alil holster wear as with any thing that causes friction the retention is worth it easy to use and draw using standard saftey practices like where to index the finger during the draw its natural get it when its in stock this is the best of the best
