Easy and inexpensive treatment.
I bought this product as I had a gun having a hardwood stock with considerable grain but appeared unfinished. Wanted to put a little luster on it, but mostly protect the stock. Wanted to take this rifle in the field. I applied 3 coats to the stock; each time followed by 3 hrs of drying and steel wool rubbing. It was trial and error but more coats yielded high luster. So the steel wool brought it back down. By the way if you can wait till the next day to dry, this is much better (did this on last coat). Very happy with the results. For a rifle stock needed about a third of 8 OZ. bottle.

I am more than pleased wi
I am more than pleased with this product. I re-finished a 1951 rifle stock and it is beautiful, better than new. Very simple to use and not expensive at all.

Purchased the basic stamp
Purchased the basic stamped receiver AK-47 last year. Made it a project to clean up the bare wood. Came across a few recommendations and purchased Tru-Oil through CTD.Tru-Oil goes on in very thin coats. I used nine coats on my stained stock and left it to dry in one day intervals. The finished work looks great, but takes some personal dedication and reserve to get there. From my experience, I recommend three coats, then steel wool after coats 4 and 5. Sand with 1500 grit on the 6 or 7th coat. Continue with steel wool for a few additional coats. Top coat gets hand buffed with a very fine polish (automotive is an easy choice). Clean up polish, wax the surface. You'll be impressed.
