The Barrett REC 7 Gen II reliability comes from it's piston operating system. Using a minimum number of parts the piston system keeps the chamber and bore clear of burnt powder and residue that are typically blown back into the chamber with a direct impingement gun. Combining the reliability of the AK platform with the ergonomics and accuracy of the AR, you now have the best of both worlds. The REC 7 Gen II will perform well in any environment and will succeed where other DI guns have failed.
