The Match Burner is Barnes’ attempt at designing a open tip match boat tail that competes with other manufacturers’ OTM BT bullets – for a lower price. The OTM BT can polish off any varmint quickly. Just take care that its nose cavity does not produce terminal expansion. Its thin jacket doesn’t promote deep penetration, either. Barnes took this round’s 3,215 fps muzzle velocity and .233 G1 BC with a 24” test barrel.

Barnes loads nonmagnetic bullets in reloadable brass cases with noncorrosive Boxer primers. It’s all you need for good target shooting, as well as getting serious about a competition.
