Do you have a Type 99 rifle that made it this long without being rechambered? Then you’re in luck! We have high-quality 7.7 Japanese ammunition in stock and ready to roll with fast shipping!
The Bannerman Catalog sold all kinds of military surplus from 1888 until ceasing publication in 1966. This ammunition’s really nothing to do with that original organization, though. The brand is now owned by Graf & Sons, and specializes in loading hard-to-find military and hunting rifle cartridges – such as none other than 7.7x58mm Arisaka.
Bannerman loads these range and target rounds’ components in the USA. The components themselves are by other manufacturers. That’s Prvi Partizan of Serbia, chiefly, which supplied this ammo’s virgin brass (PPU headstamped, of course) and nonmagnetic bullets.
Japan did not originally load 7.7 Japanese ammo with 174 grain bullets (at least so far as we are aware). This ammo’s projectiles weigh that much because it is a common weight for the more popular .303 British, which shares the same bullet diameter as 7.7 Japanese. As full metal jacket boat tails, they are an accessibly priced yet precise solution to all manners of target shooting, and also suitable for varmint hunting when terminal expansion isn’t required.
