There Is Nothing Quite Like the Pairing of a Factory Firearm With a Factory Magazine
The Auto Ordnance Thompson Magazine is a standard factory replacement magazine. This magazine is for 1927 Models chambered in .45 ACP and holds 30 rounds of ammunition. It is made from steel with a quality follower and quality base plate. The exterior of the magazine features a blued finish. Additionally it is worth noting that the magazine is made to Auto Ordnances' specifications and tolerances, using the same manufacturing process and materials as the original equipment magazines which shipped with your firearm. This will ensure not only a perfect fit but exceptional operation.Auto Ordnance Thompson Factory Magazine (Blued) Specifications and Features:

These work excellent in the NEWER auto ordnance Thompsons. I have purchased a couple f these from CTD and have never had a problem. I have the milled steel receiver and not aluminum. The price here is the BEST I found on the web! I highly recommend this magazine.

These stick mag's work as well as the original with no reworking. Perhaps if their is some difficulty, it probably has to do with the receiver of the weapon rather than the manufacture of the mag. My weapon is milled steel and not aluminum.

Even in standard Auto-Ord
Even in standard Auto-Ordnance Thompson's these mags need a lot of fitting. They are VERY hard to insert in the gun and even harder to get the magazine latch to engage. You will spend time working these into usable shape. The old milsurp may be a better option.

I've ordered five of thes
I've ordered five of these 30 round magazines from CTD. All came individually packaged in plastic sleeves with Thompson/Auto-Ordnance hang tags. There were no markings on any of the magazines to indicate they came from Auto-Ordnance (or Kahr). The magazines had fine rust powder on the outsides (your hands will turn orange from handling them) and varying degrees of rust on the insides (one would not function until cleaned). The bluing/coating was very thin on all magazines. All five magazines needed to be 'fitted' (slight grinding/filing of magazine catch hole) to my 1927A1 TA5 pistol. This was not a major job, but it is disappointing that these were sold as Auto-Ordnance (Thompson) magazines, and they need to be modified to work.

Will this fit a Cammando Mark 45 manufactured by Volunteer Enterprises?
Answer:
No. The Commando Mark 45 uses STEN mags, not Thompson mags.
