They meet all mil-spec requirements. The buttstock includes a trapdoor for a compartment for an AK-pattern cleaning kit, high-strength hardened steel ribbed butt plate, as well as a steel, anti-bind sling swivel. The pistol grip follows the original Russian AK-74 pattern and includes a metal reinforcement. The lower handguard incorporates a steel heat shield and metal insert by mil-spec standards. This results in decreased heat transfer and maximum user comfort during long shooting sessions. These are the only US made mil-spec buttstock and pistol grip in the market that are also 922r compliant. The handguards are made in Russia.
