No one wants to shoot a little. Everyone wants to shoot a lot. That’s why we’re certain you’ll love what American Quality Ammunition cooked up for you at their Montana factory: *a lot* of 5.56x45mm M193 ammunition!

The “M193” in its name shouldn’t be interpreted as meaning this ammo is out of the ordinary. Quite the contrary, as the 55 grain full metal jacket is unquestionably the most popular bullet for AR target shooting in the United States (and by extension the world). Like all other American ammo manufacturers, American Quality does not reduce their 55 grain FMJ bullet’s production cost by substituting any part of its copper-alloy jacket for steel. That is another way of saying *this ammo’s bullets do not attract a magnet*.

American Quality also doesn’t reduce costs by remanufacturing ammunition. This new production ammo’s noncorrosive Boxer primers, nonmagnetic FMJs, and clean-burning powder are loaded in *new brass* cases, which are indeed reloadable.

American Quality *does* reduce costs by packaging ammo in bulk. These cartridges are packaged loose inside their big box.

What ammo is the cleanest to shoot for a 223
Answer: Hi William! If you're target shooting, then TMJ bullets are a good bet. Their lead cores' bases are shielded by copper, which prohibits lead aerosolization on ignition. Here is a great (albeit heavy) option: https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/federal-american-eagle-.223-remington-ammunition-20-rounds-tmj-75-grains/fc-604544625615.html . You might also consider frangible bullets, which do not contain lead and which disintegrate when they strike steel. Here is a good option: https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ammunition/rifle-ammo/223-remington-and-556-nato?jacket_type=620 . Are you hunting or defending your home? Here are a couple of options with solid copper bullets, which eliminate lead fouling (noting that all of these rounds have lead styphnate in their primers): https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ammunition/rifle-ammo/223-remington-and-556-nato?jacket_type=2998
