Accuracy fans – get on in here! We’re offering something real special to the long-range enthusiasts today! Here’s your opportunity to stock up on American Quality Ammunition’s match grade 5.56x45 NATO, which is loaded with Hornady’s premium 77 grain open tip match projectiles!
Leave it to Hornady to create a splendid example of an OTM. The Nebraskan specialist’s jackets are practically perfectly concentric, which, alongside this bullet’s swaged lead core, translates to excellent rotational stability. Hornady spares no effort designing streamlined bullets, too, which complements the bullet’s heavy weight so that it can conserve *truly* impressive wind-trouncing momentum.
The OTM’s nose cavity is not functional in the sense that it does not cause terminal expansion. The bullet’s terminal ballistics are about the same as an FMJ’s, so don’t choose it for hunting anything larger than vermin. A barrel twist of 1:6”, 1:7” or 1:8” should prove ideal for so heavy a projectile.

Good price that will not break the bank with consistent performance that I can rely on.
I’ve been using this brand for a year now and its performance is extremely consistent. Great for target practice and sightseeing in scopes; I’m my opinion.

Can this round be safely fired in 223 wylde chambers. Hornady Frontier 77 grain recommends using only in 556 chambers. Just curious with being manufactured from a different manufacturer.?
Answer:
Hello John! This ammo is fine for a 223 Wylde chamber. The 223 Wylde chamber is designed to fire .223 ammo more accurately than a dedicated 5.56 chamber can allow. The 223 Wylde chamber is no less compatible with 5.56 because of its dual-purpose design, though.
