The Adams Arms gas piston conversion kit is a complete retrofitting kit that takes a standard direct gas impingement system AR-15 and converts it with a cooler, cleaner, short stroke gas piston. Installing a piston system on an AR-15 prevents the harmful gas and debris from being sent back in the chamber to cycle the firearm. Piston systems increase overall reliability while also decreasing the amount of maintenance required to keep he firearm operational. This kit can be added to your rifle with no permanent modifications; however some free floating handguard will not be compatible with this system.
