Why is this non reloadable.
Answer:
Hi Matthew! There are two reasons. First, steel cases. Steel isn't supple like brass is. It doesn't spring back to its original dimensions following ignition, so it's pretty much useless in that state. Second, Berdan primers. These have two flash holes instead of one, and are (A) generally unavailable as reloading components, (B) not standardized in size very well, and (C) an absolute devil to line up correctly. Furthermore, because the anvil on a Berdan primer is technically part of the case itself, ther is even greater complication. Is it technically possible to reload steel cases? Yes, but a handloader friend of mine told me he wouldn't attempt it even during the apocalypse.
