I was given a k98 mauser. Is this ammo save for indoor range shooting that does not allow full metal jacket.
Answer:
Hello Angel! That's a nice gift to receive. This round's bullet is a soft point cutting edge (SPCE). Unlike an FMJ, the base of an SP bullet's lead core is fully covered by copper jacket. If your range prohibits FMJs due to their increased lead exposure, then I suspect it would approve of SPCE bullets. I'm pretty confident you'll be alright, but you might want to confirm with the range before you commit, just to be sure. Thanks for reaching out!
Is this .318 diameter?
Answer:
No sir, it's .323".
