Are these legal in Ohio? They have to be straight-walled, and in the image, they look to be tapering.

That being said, the 45-70 is a straight-walled cartridge and is legal for hunting in Ohio. The 45-70's base is indeed wider than its neck (hence the taper), but it lacks the bottleneck (like you would see on a 308 Win, for example) that is prohibited for hunting in OH.
