Corbon used two simple techniques to create some of the most powerful 9mm ammunition on the market:
1. Overpressurization, which is why this round’s chamber pressure is as much as 10% higher than standard; and
2. Bullet weight reduction, which enables the jacketed hollow point to exit a 4” barrel at a velocity around 33% higher than that of sound itself.
Those specifications don’t just make this ammunition +P (and therefore only safe to fire in handguns that are explicitly designed to handle its higher pressure). They also enable the 90 grain bullet to transfer substantially more energy to its target. Its muzzle energy is around 23% stronger than a standard 124 grain bullet!
Corbon’s expertly engineered JHP harnesses its potential extremely well. Weight retention is sufficient to ensure 9-15” penetration depth, and expansion may widen the bullet until it exceeds 0.7” in diameter. Corbon promises excellent operation and stopping power out of all compatible pistols, including subcompacts which produce lower-than-advertised muzzle velocity.

Don't buy
Ordered 3 boxes of 90gr 9mm corbon. None will fit fully in the barrel. They crimped the case so much that it swelled the bullet. I tried to contact corbon, nobody answered the phone, and will not return emails. Cheaper than Dirt has a no return policy for ammo. Do not buy this ammo. Wasted money.

I did ballistics testing
I did ballistics testing using 6 different manufactures to see what store-bought rounds would be best suited for home defense and concealed carry purposes. Cor-Bon self defense hollow points are THE best round I tested hands down when measuring velocity, terminal ballistics and fracturing. Highly Recommend.

The wet phone book test w
The wet phone book test with 7 rounds of this through a kel-tec pf-9 suggest that this is excellent SD ammo and works well through the pf-9.It penetrated well and then basically exploded about 5-6 inches into the target every time. It did not over penetrate which is very good. Two shots were taken at 25 yards which is very far for a sub-compact and extremely unlikely in SD but proves that the ammo is accurate since I nearly put a hole in a hole with it.I would definitely trust my life to it.
