"Mounted on a 12 Gauge 3 1/2 inch magnum Browning BPS Slug Barrel Canteliver Mount with Warne Tactical Rings. Optics are so clear and the scope has stood up to 150 + rounds of very heavy recoil from 12 Gauge 3 1/2 inch magnum & 3 inch mag. ammo. - I have one of these (4.5-14x50mm) and 2 each 3.5-10 X 50mm Conquest scopes all mounted on 12 gauge slug-guns. These scopes when properly mounted with heavy high quality rings on proper bases stand up to the recoil, maintain zero, and the optical view is a pleasure to use. - I would recommend Ziess Scopes for any serious application. They are in the top of class and quality. - The next slug gun I build will also get a Ziess Scope!!!"

"Zeiss optics rock. If you know how to mount a scope properly and use quality rings and bases, you won't have to waste those extra shots checking to make sure you are still zeroed after a trip down a bumpy road with a Zeiss. I shoot fairly heavy recoil rifles (7mm Rem. Mag.7mm Rem.Ultra Mag 300WSM)and have yet to see one move. Yeah, I shoot alot. Yeah, I'm guilty of scope abuse. No problem. The durability is awesome but the real area where Zeiss blows away the competition is in clarity and light transmission. I have hunted with scopes that cost twice and sometimes triple the cost of a Zeiss but they don't compare. You get crystal clear images throughout the power range. I don't know about where you live but where I live legal shooting time ends around 5:30 p.m. Since I started using Zeiss I have not had to leave, not one time, because I couldn't see through my scope or because I couldn't tell the difference between different deer in the field. Another thing is how much larger the actual sight window is. I am not talking about field of view, I am talking about how much larger the eye-piece is. It's like the difference between watching the same show on two different T.V.'s, the Zeiss being a sixty inch screen, the competitor being a thirteen inch screen. Same field of view but a heck of a lot bigger picture. If you buy a Zeiss you will never be able to blame missing the biggest deer of your life on your scope again."
