"Great German binoculars! I don't how these guys got these across the border, but these are top quality real military with tank range finder. I have seen these at gun shows for years at like $200 and I always wanted them because you tell how far away the Antelope are. We shoot long distances and we are always guessing the yardage and this thing will tell you if you figure out the bracket sizes. I thought these were going to be some Chinese copy, but they are really nice German optics at less than $50, kind of crazy but really nice."

"Just received my binoculars. They are not German; they are Russian. Michael's review is misleading. There are no German markings on my set, only Russian markings. The optics are good the the reconditioning is very good but they are Russian."

"I know that the Internet is full of so called \"experts\" so if you choose not to believe me, I will not blame you. There is an items list inside the case cover and there is also Service Booklet that comes with the binoculars. I am fluent in Russian language and these documents are not in Russian. I am able to read these documents very easily none the less. My guess is that they are in Bulgarian (country of origin is Bulgaria). Also one of the Service Booklet is dated 1982. There is no way that these are WWII binoculars ;-) A bit of \"creative advertising\" on the part of CTD. I was not expecting WWII issue binoculars so this is not a big deal for me.I ordered a pair of these binoculars. They arrived quickly, thank you CTD. My pair is brand new, never used! Good price too."

"VERY NICE BINOCULARS FOR FIFTY BUCKS. MUCH BETTER THAN THAT CHINESE CRAP AT WAL-MART. MY BINOCULARS WERE NOT GERMAN, NOR WERE THEY WWII DATED. SO, DON'T GET TOO EXCITED! THEY ARE RUSSIAN. ALL OF THE RUSSIAN \"WAR TIME\" BINOCULARS THAT I'VE SEEN WERE DATED, THESE WERE NOT. THESE WOULD BE GREAT FOR REENACTORS, GERMAN OR RUSSIAN. NO COMPLAINTS HERE, NICE STUFF!!!"

"What ever country these came from they are worth the fifty bucks or so. Clear optics, most of what I have run across as of late are slightly to totally fogged, these are good ones. I just got them today, and figured out the range finding reticle scale. I used a laser rangefinder and compared it to the reticle and got it down. Good product, I may sneak another order in before they go poof!Max"

"Ok I had to order a second pair. Once I got really used to them, I found out something most intresting. As messed up as my eyes are, the individual eye focus on these glasses versus the center focus type on most other types dont really ever work quite right for me. These on the other hand, I can adjust them and I can have the image merge into one as it should. Max"

"I bought a pair of these from CTD five years ago at $35.00 and wished I had bought five sets of them. There is no comparision between center focus (substandard) and individual focus (Superior Quality) binoculars. I will never purchase center focus binocular due to wobble, flimsy construction and substandard picture. Individual focus are so many levels of quality above center focus that it is indescribable. You done even have to wear your glasses to use them. They are more solidly built. superior optics."

"The Grid marks are what is referred to as the \"mil grid\" meaning \"milliradian grid.\" There are several good articles on the web which explain how to use it for range finding.Sincerely,Dima"

"I bought these for my mother, who speaks nearly fluent Russian. She says that they are Russian, and that they were manufacture during WWII. The later date on the paperwork is when they were refurbished, although her pair said they checked out and did not require service.Pretty Cool, and very nice for the price."

"I received my binoculars today!!! I am well pleased with them. As for being Bulgarian, mine are Soviet issue, maybe not WWII but post war issue. They are the same as ones offered by others as postwar, down to the manufacturing logo, case, etc. . . They will be a nice part of my Red Army sniper impression. Keep up the good work!!!"

"These are very good binoculars. And you cant beat the price. I've done some research and the optics are the same as some brand new sets out there that run around $300. The only con I have is there's no lense covers excecpt for a leather cover for the eyepieces and the pouch it comes with is a little clummsy and hard to get the polarized lenses out. All in all its a great deal and great quality. Just an FYI the hash marks equal 1 yard at 100 yards"

"I ordered the binoculars on a Saturday and the arrived on a Wednesday. After unpacking and loking them over all I can say is Wow!! theo lenses where perfict size and weight are great. You have to get these if not for field use then just set them on a bookshelf. If there is anything wrong with them I can't find it. For something over 60years old they are in fine shape. (They even have amber sunshades and a spare eye piece that comes with them.) Thank You CTD!!! get more stuff like this!!!John in Tennessee"
