Wise Foods Entres contain TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein) which has the texture and flavor of meat; does not contain meat. These are ready-made meals packed in airtight NITROGEN PACKED pouches. The unique packaging process removes the majority of the residual oxygen by immediately packing nitrogen into the mylar bag. This in turn simplifies the preparation process by not having to first locate and then remove an oxygen absorber from each individual pouch.

Wise Company ready-made meals carry a shelf life of 25 years, with absolutely no rotation needed. That's 25 years without the stress of wondering if your family will have enough good, useable food when emergency strikes. Because the entrees won't need to be rotated every few years like other food storage products, buying Wise Foods will save you thousands of dollars long-term as the cost of food keeps going up. By investing in Wise meals you will again be saving thousands of dollars over the years. In an emergency, food may be worth more than diamonds or gold. Bucket Color may vary. Some menu entrees may vary.

"I have tried several types of MREs Mountain House and now these, Wise. First I got the container and thought I was to get 60 package servings meals. NOPE, I got 15 bags containing 4 serving per bag. Too much for one person to eat at one setting. The bags do not even have a resealable ziplock, in case I only wanted to eat half or 2 servings. The bad part is the Cheesy Lasagna tasted horrible. Very salty, if you ate the whole bag you would eat 200% of a daily salt intake. I would not buy these again. And stick to Mountain House which has real meat and taste much better... Sorry Wise, I'm just very disappointed in your product... Taste a few samples before you buy a lot of anything."

"This is my 2nd review. Because I am testing these at home first.. I tried a 2nd packet of Creamy Chicken ala King. It had some vegetables but, didn't look like a lot, so I added my own frozen mixed veggies into the mix. The taste was much better with this serving selection.. And if I had some real shrimp to add to this, I would think I was eating at a Chinese Restaurant. Not sure how they call it Chicken ala King though, because there is no chicken. Chicken imitation maybe, the details say this: \"Wise Foods entrees contain TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein) which has the texture and flavor of meat; does not contain meat.\" So maybe that's why the shelf life can be 25 yrs...??"

"I bought a 60 portion pack for emergencies. I tried one pouch to assure myself it was edible, which it was. If you are buying this to open and eat in the next few months, there are probably more tastier products out there. I bought the bucket for long term emergency preparedness. I think it will be good to have. Yes, the bags do contain 4 portions, and in an emergency, storing left-overs may be an issue. One portion of the chili macaroni was one cup + and filled me up, I'm 230 lbs. Taste-wise I would call it GOOD. In an emergency, it would be comfort food. I have not tried any of the other bags."

"I purchased this kit for a 10 day motorcycle/camping trip we took over the summer. The major pros for this product are that it is light weight, and you can pack a lot of stuff in it, whether you are traveling on foot or in a vehicle. The con is overall taste. We did not like the overall taste and some of the food tasted a little pasty, too. We brought some small cans of chicken, small supplies of vegetables, and some spices along on the trip, and used them to enhance the flavor. It is edible and will sustain you, but I would not buy this for long term food supply."
