"Bayonet arrived as described in the ad. The bayo needs the cosmoline like grease removed and the scabbard some mink oil to recondition it after its long storage. Bottomline - I buy another if needed."

"The bayonet looks almost new with no cosmoline at all on it. The scabbard is in \"wonderfully used\" condition with all stitching intact and no scuffs or scratches. Got some ammo for the VZ with it so shipping cost was all the better."

"Bayonet arrived on time well used but looked great on my VZ 58. However it came duller than butter knife , it seemed to have been run over a grinding stone to flatten the cutting edge . It has taken a long time to put a proper edge on this bayonet .The scabbard was new seems like it will last a long time after I saddle soap it ."

"Was not expecting to receive the bayonet in the condition it was in. You all exceeded my expectations three fold, and I thank you for that. Way to go Cheaper Than Dirt."

"OK, It's MILSURP, so I wasn't expecting a pristine, un-issued item.Condition is overall, fair, and it fits the rifle exactly (unlike ALL CHICOM reproductions). The end of the blade has been blunted and folded over, probably because a Czek soldier was trying to toss it into a tree or something, and hit a tank with it. The blade also has some corrosion damage. I will need to take this to someone to be sharpened, and have the tip of the blade restored to its proper contour. And refinished.Positives: as I stated above, it fits excellently. Rivets (rivets?) holding the grips on were a bit funky, but cleaned up really nice. The grips themselves are in better than acceptable shape as well, and are made of the correct \"beaver barf\" material. The scabbard is in very nice condition. I expect it is unissued with storage weathering only, and the leather is very strong and plyable. It's milsurp. Paid much less than some other sellers were asking, but will need to put money into it to restore the equipment. Conclusion: It's OK."

"The bayonet was as pictured, with Bakelite scales and a phosphate finish. The scabbard fit, but the retention strap is too short to meet the button.More important is that the bayonet will not mount to the barrel lug. I'll have to do some work with a Dremel or small file to clean up the grooves."
