"Overall, this is awesome. It has plenty of pouches and places to hide and store stuff. My only comlaint is that it is pretty large. I am 6 feet tall, and it is still a little too big. However, it can be adjusted using the velcro. I would recommend this product."

"Absolutely zero complaints about these vests. They are very durable, and they do seem a bit large, maybe too large, but for a GI, it's perfect once you account for personal armor underneath. The manufacturer seems to have thought of everything. (Except maybe a place in the vest itself to place armor plates.) At least they give you the room to wear them."

"This is a beautiful vest. It well made, fits comfortably, has more than enough pouches and is great for paint ball. It is cheaper than I have seen for lower quality vests."

"This was a Christmas gift from my girlfriend and I would have to say it was a great gift!! However, if you are purchasing this for yourself keep these things in mind. This vest is definately made for larger men. I'm about 6 ft. tall and 180lbs and I have it about as tight as it can be. There are enough adjustments to make this vest comfortable enough, but not great. Also, the pistol mag pouches on the chest barley hold my clips for my XD 45 ACP. However, my friends 9mm XD clips fit fine. The larger pouches hold 30 rd AR 15 .223 mags with plenty of room to spare. The rifle butt pad is a joke. You can still shoot comfortably depending how you have the vest adjusted but it serves no real purpase to me. The pouch on the right side of your chest is nice to place extra ammo in however is easily over filled and can spill. I'm a simple target shooter and will be entering tactical macthes next in the spring and I will definately be testing this vest further. For right now this is an excellent buy for price (If you are simple shooter). If you are looking for something for police work I would look around. Over all I am very pleased with this product, but you need to decide what you are going to use it for before buying. I think the average target competition shooter will be pleased."

"I have a lot of experience with Tac vests and was looking for something that would fill in the gap until I could shell out nearly 200 bucks for a Blackhawk vest. This vest was way more than what I expected. I'll be keeping this vest and recommending it to friends. Way more features than I had expected from something this inexpensive. I like the way the holster is removable and will instead be using the extra mag pouches provided with the vest.Very heavy duty- I'm truly impressed.Fits great- at 6-1 230ish I was worried the vest would be too small or fit wierd- seems to fit great. The belt provided with the vest is probably a bonus to most, but I cant seem to find a use for it.The only thing I'd like to see is a bit more velcro on the back to attach the large ID patch better. Of course, if you don't have a large ID patch on your back, this certainly wont bother you."

"Wow !!!! what a great vest as soon as I took it out of the box, I knew that this was the vest for me , It has all features i was looking for and MORE !!! great fit , form , and function.... you can't go wrong !!!!Purchase one for a relative :) or a friend :) the only thing that i don't like is that rubber bar in the shoulder, I quess its there to keep the butt of the weapon from sliding off , other than that, a very cool Vest for you scifi fan's , if you watch Stargate Atlantis, these are the very same vest that the security force use's. Thanks for a great product !!!Bear"

"In case you're wondering, yes G3 magazines do fit well in the pouches. I'm very impressed with the quality/features of this product. The usefulness of the strange rubber piece in the shoulder becomes apparent when shouldering the HK91A3 stock as well. I'm 6'1" 217lbs. with a bit of a keg where my six-pack should be and all size adjustments are about in the middle to provide a snug, comfortable fit. Well worth the purchase price."

"Would buy this again in a heartbeat. Only complaint is that AK mags fit a little awkwardly, but fit nonetheless. I am 6' 250 with about a 54" inch chest, and this vest still has plenty of room to go over heavy armor. Truly one size fits all, made of high quality materials."

"This vest was an awsome buy, i,m 6ft and weigh 190lbs, the vest fit perfect out of the package. I did notice the adjustments were very accomidating for me or a larger person. I personally like my vest to fit extremely tight so that the weight of the ammo doesn't bring it down, after making the neccesary adjustments it was perfect, and allowed for fast advances and movement with out it shifting or bouncing around. The mesh used allows the body to breath so it doesn't retain to much body heat. My XD40 fits perfect in the holster, my asp fit perfectly in the pouch, the kabar knife and taser clamped perfectly to the belt. If your thinking about buying...do it, you won't regret it."

"Bought this vest as a less expensive alternative to the Blackhawk vest that my local shop never seemed to have in stock.I got the vest and was incredibly impressed with it. The extra mags/holster choice were great and included for free. The pouches easily carry my 30 rd AR15 mags. My Motorola radio fits well in the radio pouch. My coworkers have been so impressed with the vest at this price that they have also all ordered one.I'm not sure why there are complaints about the fit, I'm 6'1" 230 and wear it over body armor and it fits great with still plenty of expansion available. The quality is very impressive- especially for this price. I'd buy another one without hesitation. You won't be disappointed. This vest is meant to be used and its heavy duty construction has held up well with my extended usage. I'm pretty tough on gear but the vest still looks brand new."

"I love this vest I took it to the range and but it through Hell; this vest stood up like a champ it gave me no problems. It has enough pockets for all your equipment and fits great. I recommend this vest is worth the money."

"Thank God for CTD - My new best friend. This vest is PERFECT for home defense-or ranch varmit hunting - especially out in the rural area where I'm at. I have this thing adjusted using the pulls on the sides - I don't see how this could too big on a person unless you are REALLY skinny. This vest is my key to rapid response for whatever comes my way. Quality is top notch - a velcro lovers dream. The pistol holster/versus mag holder option is nice. It allows you to use a leg holster or a belt holster, for example, and put the optional (included) rifle mag pouches on instead - upping the rds count - in my case -to an additonal 180 .223 rds. All the pouches are deep enough to double up - at least for .223 and 9mm magazines.I also have it filled to the max so I have about 250 rds of .223, 10 rds of 000 12 guage and about 100 rds of 9mm. Still not too heavy with all those rds. I have it hanging where I can get to it...just put it on, grab the rifles and scoot. Now just need to get an Abrams (Wait, I didn't mean to say that outloud.)"

"The vest is not made that well in my view. The zipper was poorly attacted and the threads came loose the first time I put it on. I am a law enforcement officer and I was going to use this for work, but not now."

"I bought this vest about 3 months ago... I love it. I got it 2 days after I ordered it. It is light-weight, but holds up excellent. I am 6'3", 300lbs, and it fits just fine, with more than enough room to spare... I highly recommend this vest to anyone that is slighty bigger than normal. It comes with a 6-shell holder, (not shown), and that makes it just that much nicer. I am wanting to get into Law Enforcement, and this vest is my first, but I love its ruggedness. Looking forward to using it more one day. Thanks CTD..."

"This is a very nice piece of gear! As a former officer, who still has lots of friends carrying the shield, I can tell you I got lots of looks when I wore this to a 3-gun match! I'm 6'2, 250#, and the vest fits great! It rides high above the hips, giving me access to my belt goodies, while carrying everything else in the pouches. The pistol holster nicely carries my Para LTC, and the mag puches hold the single stack mags nicely. The AR mag pouches are roomy and except for the one on the far back left, easy to get to (well, my belly may be getting in the way of that one). The mag pouches on the belt seem to be best saved for emergency/last ditch magazine retention, with the buckles being a bit small and not tactically useful (Reloading off the clock comes to mind.) The option of removing the pistol holster and adding 2 more 30 round pouches (included) is a great thought! I would like to see velcro on the back of the vest, but you can't have everything. Great vest, I didn't hesitate reccomending it to some guys, and I expect them to be ordering their own soon. Get this vest for an inexpensive alternative to Blackhawk."

"I was very pleased with this product, indeed! When I first took it out of the package I thought, "Wow, this thing is a beast!"The sheer size of this vest took me by surprise, perfectly fitting my thick, 6'5 frame. The vest both looks and feels great, fitting snugly and allowing quick and easy access to all of it's pouches! The only complaint I had with this vest was the location of the pistol holster, finding it a little awkward to get to. However, this problem was easily remedied! I simply moved it to the belt, which is covered in Velcro, allowing quick attachment of many pouches, holsters, and accessories.I then put on my chest, in place of the holster, two extra 30 round mag pouches, which were included with the vest!In addition to the abundant pistol and rifle mag pouches, this vest sports a shotgun pouch (Upper-Left in the picture) which includes two shell-holding patches that snap right on with Velcro. The pouch also served as an easy-access pocket for my phone, wallet, and personal effects.I would most definitely recommend this pouch to anybody looking for an effective, affordable vest; both veterans and newcomers alike!"

"WOW! I was impressed with this vest right out of the package. This isn't some lightweight cheapie, it's heavy material, looks to be reinforced in all the right places and has plenty of size adjustment available. I purchased a drop-down thigh holster to go with it, so appreciated the two extra rifle mag pouches. My double-stack XD-45 mags fit the pistol mag pouches with no problem, and it looks like you could probably get two AR mags in each of the rifle pouches. Velcro-lovers delight, there's plenty of it on this vest and belt rig! Plenty bang for the buck in my book."

"Originally thought more than I needed. Amazing how you find use for all pockets. Removable velcro belt with mags adds versatility. Impressive material strength and fit adjustments make it more than comfortable. Makes everyone else on the range take notice."

"Incredible tac vest. I got one for myself, and am about to buy several more for my airsoft team.It is a little on the large side... I'm 5.10, 150lb, wide upper body, and it fits me snugly only if I tighten everything down all the way.Only complaint is that the left rifle mag pouch is hard to get to.I refuse to buy anything else!"

"I work private security for a company over in Iraq. We bring alot of our own gear and this is a must light weight very accesible for all needs in the field and has held up to 3 tours. Thats 3 years to the rest of you"

"This vest really suprised me. i figured for 60 bucks after shipping, this cost couldnt produce a quality vest, i was wrong. As soon as i took it out of the package i was pretty amazed. Very Heavy duty, no flaws to speak of and great looking. Im 6' 230lbs, this vest didnt fit right out of the box, but it's very adjustable, so with a small adjustment it fit perfectly. It has alot of storage, and i love the crossdraw holster. As far as durability im not sure yet because i just got it, but judging by how well made it seems to be, it should last awile, and even if it only lasted a few years, it only 60 dollars to replace, great vest."

"I was a bit leary before purchasing this vest. I was concerned that it wouldn't fit properly over my body armor or have extra room for my utility belt items. It's a good thing that I was wrong! The vest has room for 6 M16 Mags, 6 shotgun rounds, 3 Glock Mags/6 Colt Mags, Holster fits most pistols, and Extra Pockets inside the vest for low-priority items. You can make this vest fit pretty much anyone except the super overweight (250+ lbs of 45% or more Body Fat Index). I'm 5'11" at 225lbs with a 30" waist and 62" chest and the vest and belt fit perfectly over my Dragon Skin. The Belt is can hold a number of utility items like, extra mags, holsters, cuffs, cell phone, whatever. It's a good buy! It holds up strong and I highly recommend it!"

"i got this vest about three months ago for airsoft and i am glad to say that it is still in perfect condition and i have put this through EVERYTHING. there are pocets on the inside of it so you can hold stuff without it beeing seen i was able to hold 10 m4 mags in this GREAT BUY!!!!!"

"I bought this vest a while back, not really needing it, I got tired of the cumbersome hip holster getting shoved by my backpack, I dug out the vest and now I'm freed up with more energy not fiddeling with a hip holster, does well to use dualsport riding out in the woods too, very convenient!"

"very nice vest. fits great although i was a little worried. would buy another if i went through this over again. holds many mags and is very versatile."

"I bought this vest mainly from the previous reviews, so I'm adding my own to tell everyone that they're right!I was in the market for a vest, and spent a lot of time looking over the other big brands ($100-$200+). A friend suggested I look at this one, and after some research I decided to take a chance. I am absolutely amazed by this product. It is easily worth twice the price. If you're wondering whether you should buy this or not, BUY IT!!I only have one tiny complaint. The holster is not a "quick draw" holster. It is designed to keep the pistol close to your body as a back-up in case you need it. The buckle release system doesn't lend to a fast draw. This is merely something to be noted, however, and it did not make the vest any less worth it for me.I could go on and on about the benefits of this vest. The belt itself is worth the price, let alone the extra pistol mags, and the holster that not only attaches to the vest but to a belt as well. It also comes with a elastic shotshell holder that attaches to the velcro on the upper right pouch. Oh! And if you don't use the holster, it has additional rifle mags to put in its place. I dunno why you're still reading this! BUY IT!! lol"

"Well, I was a bit bummed when I ordered the vest because the pic didn't show a strip that would hold the shotgun shells on the top pocket. But, to my surprise it did come with one. It WILL fit six 12ga shotgun shells. It may be a bit tough but its possible. Just take the end of the shell, place it at the opening, pinch the elastic to the shell, and pivot the back of the shell into the elastic. It took me about 20-30 minutes of adjusting to get a good, comfortable fit. I'm 5'11" and 215lbs. It has two inside pockets would be great for a map, etc..The radio pouch is a bit too small for my cobra radio, but the top right breast pouch, one with shotgun shell strip, can hold it. The vest has elastic straps on the back, I guess for adding a backpack or maybe a hydration kit. There is also a velcro strap on each shoulder. The pistol holster can hold my full size 1911. It looks like it could probably hold a Desert Eagle! The velcro belt can be easily removed and is pretty thick. The only reason I give it 4 bullets is because a piece of velcro on one of the belt loop straps has started to remove itself, an easy fix, but still annoying. Also, I wish the radio pouch on the shoulder would have been a little larger.Overall, I am please with it so far. I think it could come in handy for any "emergency" situation, but can make a nifty range vest."

"I'll just agree with the rest of the reviews this vest is a good buy, It fits double stacks of my 30 round 7.62 x 39 ak mags very well. holds my .45 xd perfect and the mags fit nice and snug. I like that you can remove the holster and put on a spare two mag pocket in its place that would hold an additional 4 30 mags. I also ordered the molle hydration kit off this sight and attached it to the back of the vest. It just secures with snaps and I didn't think that would be a very good hold so I just tied it down with some para 550 cord and now it for sure will not go anywhere.the only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is Im not the best fan of the zippered front. if that thing broke the whole vest would be worthless. If it had 2 or 3 buckles up the front instead of or in addition to the zipper this vest would be the pro.overall I recommend, it holds 8 30 round ak mags, 7 .45 xd mags right out of the box."

"WOW-says it all. I chose this vest for call outs. I am a K9 officer for the entire county and wanted to have something handy to grab and go. I did not expect this to be SO comfortable. I do have a gripe though, the holster snaps do come unsnapped when you get to the hands on part, I was running through the woods and i guess the weight of my gun unsnapped it, it didnt fall off but was a surprise when i found my gun flopping around. That isnt a big deal to me seeing that I am going to a drop holster anyway. Just an FYI, I am 6'5'' 240lbs, not small by any means, and it was a little big on me It snaps to my belt line and everything but i little big in the shoulders. Over all I am going to love this vest."

"This vest has so many pockets, clips, straps, etc. that you're going to feel awesome just wearing it. When I first tried it on, it first felt like a life vest, but less bulky. Unlike most life vests though it is fully adjustable to comfortably fit my 6'4" 210lbs frame. Tons of spare pockets for extra clips, radio, shells, energy bars, anything you think you'll need you probably have room for. A few compartments are removable if you want extra mobility or just want to move them somewhere else. I thought it was spendy at first, but as soon as I tried it on I realize every dollar was worth it. I'm not a tac guy or anything, just a survival enthusiast, but if TSHTF and I need to be prepared I'm glad I have it to rely on."

"I got this vest for private security in Iraq and I just wanna say I couldn't get a better vest. The holster was a little loose for my Colt .45 but I solved that problem by putting on a regular military web belt and attaching an M12 Bianchi holster to my hip and it's perfect. I carry an AK-47 for the job and with the extra magazine pouches, it holds 12 nice and secure. All I wanna say is you can't get better and the price is great."

"I don't have words to describe how sweet this vest is. Fully adjustable to fit my 6'4 215lbs frame. It holds clips for my handguns as well as rifles. Also extra storage pockets for shotgun shells if necessary, a radio and an extra gun. The gun harness holds the gun securely and is easily accessible when needed. It has so many extra pockets I'm putting flashlights and knives in the spares. Zips up the front and has a buckle clip on the bottom to keep it close to you. It almost seems bulky due to the amount of stuff you can carry, but like anything it takes getting used to. I'm in velcro heaven!!!"

"There are already a lot of great reviews for this product. I use it in a bug out bag, as a police officer for an active shooter scenario. I keep it's numerous pockets loaded with extra ammo for my issued weapons. Fits well over a class A uniform and it makes all my co-workers jealous. This vest is just as good at getting the job done as those vests from Blackhawk, 5.11, etc."

"This is a great Tactical Vest!!Pro's? I went over all of my stitching and it was solid.? I love the adjustable shoulder straps. They help a lot for those of us who are longer or shorter in the torso than Joe Average.? I have 25 rd .308 surefire composite mags that fit great with extra pouch length to spare? The extra Molle double rifle mag add-on is great.? I love the two inside zippered pockets. Great for storing the extra molle item you are not using or extra stuff.? LOTS of pistol magazine space with the three on the chest and two on the belt.? You can attach a camel pack to the shoulder rigs (unless you are wearing a pack).? The holster is great. I have a full size Kimber .45 that it houses great (maybe goes a little deep into the holster). The holster barrel area is large enough to fit a trigger mounted laser or possibly a very small tactical flashlight but I doubt it would house a top mount item. Extra mag pouch on the holster is also a bonus.Cons-? The shotgun pouch on the right shoulder and the magazine pouch on the left shoulder are both sewn in so you cannot use replace them with other molle items.? If you want to use the included dual mag pouch, you sacrifice the pistol holster (I would have liked to have been able to move the pistol mags to the right shoulder (replacing the shotgun pouch) and put the extra mags on the left shoulder (to balance it out for the weight of the extra mags) while retaining the holster.Heck if I know-? The back of the vest has 3 rows of elastic bands that are about 2 inch wide material sewn in rows across the back into tight loops that are about 2.5 inches between stitches and stretch out a couple of inches. Each of these has a velcro strip on the inside of the elastic.. I have no idea what these are for..."

"The reviews are right on!!! This is a awesome vest for the price. Most people on here are 6'0" plus. Not me. I'm 5'4" and 185 lbs. I have a shorter torso and the vest fits me great because if the shoulder adjustments. You are crazy to spend more money on a name brand vest when this is better than them."

"This is the first vest I've ever bought. First, I'm glad they make left handed models. The vest was everything I expected, and more. I was a little worried about the mesh base fabric being flimsy, but it is solid. There is almost too much stuff on it! I found all the belt loops a little in the way, and the vest is comfortable without a belt, so I'll probably cut the loops off and leave more room on my pistol belt. Otherwise, a top notch vest!"

"I got the vest just on reviews. it is a outstanding vest. You can buy this vest and forget the blackhawk and save the $110. and buy more ammo or a backup vest.Would loved to had this 20 yrs when i was over in the sand box. I hang out with a lot of shooters and they are mad at me for not haveing told them of this vest befor they spent the money on more expensive ones.I am 6'3" and 230 the vest fits well and can adjust to go over my coat if it has too. I carry a FN and the magazines fit better than i thought they would. I have only two complaints.1)the holster was a bit large for my .45 to remidy this I sowedthe bottem 1/4 in. in and also the area just below the trigger area 1/4 in.2)While running the course the holster started to flap around and came unvelcrowed. I am still looking how to fix this. That is the only thing I have to complaint about this. Againthe vest is well made and I beleve will hold up for along time to come.."

"This vest is alright for the price. It needs a back compartment for a hydration system, though. The pistol holster will hold my compact 9mm, full size pistols, or revolvers just fine. The radio holster is for small radios, though. It won't hold medium-large sizes. Rifle mag pouches hold M-16 mags and AK mags and the belt can hold extra pistol mags, knives, or small flashlights or weapon attachments. There is a map/document pouch inside the vest and WEB attachments in the back. There is also a velcro patch so you can attach a name tape or agency identifier patch. The netting makes it more comfortable to wear to prevent excessive sweating and the sniper pad does make shooting a rifle more comfortable, especially if you shoot a lot or are shooting a high-recoil rifle or shotgun. It's only a rubber tube sewn inside the material and seems a little cheap at first, but once you try it and get your weapon in place, you'll find it to be quite comfortable and helps reduce shoulder bruising. That little padded tube helps in getting the weapon properly positioned quicker as well. The vest comes in a wide variety of colors and pattern schemes, for right or left handed shooters and they're affordable so you can get one to match every uniform. I've only got the black so far, but am planning to get a new Army digital one to go with my ACU's."

"I was a bit skeptical even after reading the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised when I actually looked at all the stitching and the added features it has. This vest was well thought out and a bang for my buck! Only thing keeping this rating from 5 bullets is the plastic buckle. It can be replaced(although I will still use it)...still making this a quality product."

"GREAT VEST! The quality on this vest is as good as those costing twice as much. Heavy duty, functions as you would expect for professional operations. The holster, like most, will not fit full sized semi-auto w/flashlight attached; however, the holster is removable and the vest comes w/a double rifle mag pouch to replace the holster, so i got space for a radio and extra goodies and wear a thigh rig for lighted pistol. Vest also comes w/a 6-slot shell holder to go on the right pocket flap (see the velcro). The shell holder is presumably for shotgun, but too tight for 12 guage. Attached belt is top-notch duty quality. I ordered Sunday night and it arrived Thursday w/basic shipping. I'll bring my business back to CTD!"

"I ordered this for valentines day for both me and my fiance. It arrived at my door in two days. As a woman...i love it..and so does he. I bought one in right hand and the other in left hand. We just bought some new AR-15's..worried about the war we just wanted these for emergency use and to be ready in case the world falls apart. My Colt .45 fits great..my defender fits better than my commander. The thought of having my handgun..mags..and mags for my Ar-15 is great. Has a place for our cell phone or Motorola radios...and a place for a first aid kit..or whatever you want to put in there..snacks..cigs..chew...just up to you. Very versatile. Dont be scared when you take it out of the pkg....fits both of us..me 38 inch chest and he has a 52 chest. It all adjusts...i personally like it without the belt..but..i havent played around with it enough. The belt would be good if you are on the run with your gun. I definately recommend this purchase..couldnt believe it was so dirt cheap. Always remember..im sure there are cheaper models..but buy best..and you wont have to rebuy.Lori"

"Let me just say this. This is the best vest on the market. From the extra pouches to the sturdy stitching. Do not hesitate to purchase this. The belt is removable if not needed. You can read the rest of the reviews, but there's no need. Buy this vest."

"I wasn't to sure about purchasing this vest until I recieved it and man, this vest just fit like a perfect glove. I was amazed with the Hardcore constuction material, tons of pockets, comfort, and durability. My beretta 92 fits perfect as well. Great vest and very pleased with it. I think I will order another one"

"This vest is great, very durable. I really like the fully adjustable side straps, shouler straps, and adjustable belt. It is able to hold plenty of rifle and pistol mags, and also the potential for many attachments to the vest....great vest, a must have. RWB"

"This vest is very tough, well built in that regard. I lowered the rating though because of the magazine pockets. POCKET 1: Held 2 Magpul PMAG 30s, a little too tight but not badPOCKET 2: Could only hold 1, not even close to holding 2, the opening wasnt large enough.POCKET 3: I could technically fit 2 but they were unusable tight."

"First of all, the shipping is lightning fast from CTD. The vest is very high quality, it does not mention a hydration area but there is an area in the rear that pulls apart with velcro and reveals a large area that you possibly could put a bladder in. Im not real crazy about the pistol holster as it did not hold my full size 1911 the way I would like it, however it may hold my new Glock 21 a little better since it is fatter in the grip. Over all I am extremely pleased with this purchase, get one."

"I based my choice on a tac vest by reading reviews... i took into play any review of this vest that was 3bullets or less thinking I will ultimately get what i pay for.... let me tell you, i think i got over on the UTG company. right out the bag i was suprised by the excellent quality of the tac-vest! adjusting it to fit to my size took no time at all. i have a small frame and it fits comfortablely snug both with equipment and without. with my configuration of choice, i fit 8 AR mags and 9 1911 mags without a hitch. my full size S&W 1911pd fits the holster nicely. the belt and molle webbing on my back allows for various add-ons and upgrades for either more ammo clips, holsters, or storage pouches. i am extremely happy with this pickup. it should serve me well for the range and home carry. thanks a million CTD!!!!!"

"I got this vest for use as a grab n go BOB and for use at the range. Its very tough and distributes the weight pretty well.Pros:CheapStrongHolds alot of gear without becoming too heavyVery adjustable to sizeRugged zipperCons:Cannot change the pouches around to suit your needs with the exception of the crossdraw.I use ak mags and the retention tab tore right through the nylon mag pouch. Cannot carry ak mags bullets down. The belt always seems to get twisted around when stored and requires a minute to get seated right in the hanging loops.Buckle closures are prone to breaking and makes getting the pistol and spare mags more of a pain to get into and impossible to put back with one hand.Im buying the MOLLE vest so I can change my loadout when I wish, plus it accepts sapi plates"

"I useed one of these vests for over two years doing secueity work in Iraq with only one minor problem when the zipper pull came off one of the inside zippered compartments. At different times, I carried either AK or M4 mags, a pistol, extra pistol mags, radios, and other small gear. At one point I was issued a Blackhawk vest, and I didn't like it as much as my UTG vest."

"From the moment I first opened the package I was impressed with the quality of this product. Lots of room and pockets for everything I need.I am 6-4, 270 pounds. I am considered long waisted and myan times that has caused me problems with off the sheld clothes. That was not the case here. After adjustments to the many buckles and straps the vest fit like a glove. It has alot of room and will carry many items that you would need should the crap hit the fan."

"This vest is a cheap knockoff of the real thing. Overall its pretty decent except for one HUGE factor. The magazine pouches are not big enough to hold standard Glock magazines. The flaps arent long enough to reach the hook and look. Very disappointed."

"This item is just OK quality, spend a little more for the real thing. This thing has a smell out of the box which I hope doesnt last....the shoulder pad is made out of some weird chinese material which smells the entire room up....toxic smelling really. The gun holster is not quick draw. Its ok for a basic piece if on a budget, I wouldnt take this unit to Theater...its for maybe rigging up for home defense under emergency situations if you dont want to spend the money on a real Tac Vest."

"First I was impressed on how it was shipped! Such a large box so the vest would not have to be folded to fit. Very impressed out of the box! I was surprised that it included an extra 2 Mag Pouch to replace the pistol holster. Also was happy to see the right hand patch Velcro also came with a Shell patch for shotgun! Fits my Glock 22 mags just fine with room to spare! No smell at all! Mag pouches fit my AK 47 7.62 great Bullets up or down. Looks to be well made with good stitching and double stitched around the outer edges. It is made in China and only time will tell how well it will hold up but for know I would recommend it."

"I work for a Sheriff's Office and have a K-9 (bloodhound) for search and rescue. I was looking for something to carry all my equipment (gun, handcuffs, ect.) and get it off of my duty belt. I was a little concerned what it would be like with the price being so cheap, but wow; it seems very durable. I just got it so I'm not sure how it will do in the field, but from what I can tell, it should do just fine. I carry a Sig 40 cal and the pistol fits great, and the mags fit in the pouch just fine. All the pouches will hold everything I need to carry. I think it is a great buy."

"I bought this not expecting such a nice product for the relatively low price compared to similar items out there. It's made very well, and although I don't practice forceful entry wearing it, I'm very pleased all around. It fits nicely and all the compartments hold what they are designed to hold perfectly. Overall I'm very pleased."

"Surprised it was shipped in a larger box so they didn't have to fold it or anything. (Kudos to CTD) I'm a small built guy, and was very glad to see that the vest was adjustable to not only my size, but would probably only take a few minutes to adjust to one of my larger buddies. Looks like it will hold up, at least for my uses, Only drawbacks are, that you can't move things around, but most of the pouches are in good placement as it is. A bargain for the price, perhaps not the best vest out there, but definitely a decent one."

"I just got this vest along with the Leapers UTG Extreme Ops Black Tactical Leg Holster and the ModGear Black Leg Platform Carrier and the Ace Case Pistol Magazine Pouch. All went together very well > I am 6'4" 260lbs so I had a worry or two about how I would be able to move in this set up but I adjusted the vest and the leg units and i can run and move better than I thought. This vest can adjust even larger if I needed. I have one design feature that I think they should have considered. This vest comes with an extra rifle magazine velcro pouch in case you want to remove the pistol from your belly and have more room for AR15 clips. They should have made the other 3 AR magazine pouches removable like that. I don't have an AR could use that space for medic pouch."

"This vest showed up this morning as I was on the way to the range... It worked great a bit stiff and very robust. This vest definitely means business."
5.0 5
"This vest is great. A bit stiff out of the box but the material seems flexible enough to be worn in easily, but won't get worn out. I bought 4 Magpul PMAGs with this because an earlier poster said that the pockets were too small to double up every one. I didn't have that problem whatsoever. Each pouch holds two mags with ranger plates very securely. Hook and loop closures work well. The pistol mag holders were big enough to hold my XDM 9mm 19 round mags securely and the holster hold my XDM perfectly, though I may use my thigh holster because the draw is a little weird. The belt is nicely made, but you can just as easily strap the vest to your regular belt. You won't be disappointed."

"Awesome deal! Very impressed with the quality of this vest. I have looked at several that were higher priced. I dont think I could have gotten a better deal. Shipping was super fast too. All pouches fit my Sig 556 mags perfectly, bullets up or down. Holster is not the best Ive ever had but holds my Glock 32 well with a ton of room if I change to a bigger pistol. Plenty of room to hang items on the back and space for a hydration bladder that was not listed in the details on the vest."

"I could not believe the quality of the vest. The holster held my Glock Model 20 perfect. I keep finding pockets. It is a great vest for the money. I am going to buy some for gifts."

"This vest is a great value, nicely put together. It fit me perfectly except for a minor belt adjustment. P mags & my Beretta 15 rounder's fit with no problems. The only problem I found so far is the lack of Molle attachments on the back for a water bladder."

"I was 50/50 about purchasing this item, based on a few users complaining of smells and being cheaply made. So I figured for the money, why not. When I received the item, I could not smell anything toxic or whatever. I loaded up the entire vest with almost everything just to see how it would hold up or what it could take. I loaded up my Sig P220 for the pistol holster. For the Assault rifle mag pouches, I put DPMS 20 round mags, and both pockets you can double up, so one pouch will hold 2 mags (very tight at first but will break in), and also you can double up mags for the handgun (or triple with the slim 8 round .45 mags). It was able to hold my 17 round mags for the 9mm Beretta PX4 Storm (2 to each pouch). I was able to fit 12 - 12guage shotshells in the upper right pocket. This thing has more pockets than you know what to do with. If you really want to go crazy out in the woods or whatever, you can fit 2 extra handguns in the side pouches! Also, I'm a big guy 48" reg., and it's side straps will adjust to almost any size, large, or small. Awesome vest, great quality, good price, extremely flexible/versatile, and will accommodate any situation."

"Had been Checking out this item for some time. Finally went for and very happy I did. Holds my Glock 17 and mags perfectly and the Rifle pouches are perfect for 30 round AR mags. The radio pouch makes a great cell phone holder. This is going to be perfect for maximizing training time at the gun range. Great product for the price. Incredible fast shipping from CTD as usual. Don't Hesitate you can not go wrong with this."

"Arrived yesterday, this appears to be a high quality vest. Granted, I have never purchased a tactical vest in the past... fits my XD-40 4" duty model with a TLR-2 tactical light, 6 AK mags double stacked, 4 XD mags, cell phone or tactical radio, 6 12 gauge slugs, utility pocket... the 2 pockets on the belt are mostly useless. I don't personally care for the position and I was unable to find described flashlight or baton holders... course could be designed for a 19" asp or something small like that. Overall I will say great vest. Reason it didn't get a 5 bullet review was due to the inability to carry my baton or flashlight without using my belt holders and that I have not tested this in the field yet..."

"I have been looking for a vest for a while. I thought, for the price, it was worth a shot. It was mostly comfortable. The mag pouches doesn't fit my 40 round AK-47 mags, but that's not what the vest rifle mags were designed for. The informational video on the site was definitely helpful in making my decision. My only complaint about the vest is that when you sit in a vehicle it rides up in the back considerably. I would recommend this item to someone wanting a decent vest for cheap. A hardcore person may want something that accomodates armor better and doesn't ride up."

"I took a chance on this vest. a small investment with great return value. It fit almost perfect out of the box. Great number of compartments and storage. Holds 2 AR mags in each holder easily with my Taurus PT 101 fitting great in the holster. Ordered on Monday received on Wednesday. The fastest shipping I've gotten anywhere ever!!!"

"I have used this vest several times over the last few months. I have had zero problems with it. Didnt have any smell that was mentioned in other reviews. I have a friend who looked at it and was mad when he went to his patrol car and got his Blackhawk out and it was almost identical. This one was less than half of what he paid."

"Receved as a Christmas Gift from my dogs. This is much more vest than I expected. It came with extra mag pouches and shotgun loops. I'm a fat body and it fiits my Sig 556 mags just fine. It fits my Taurs PT99 perfect and the hoster is just in the right spot I am very glad my dogs picked out this vest for me its worth twice the price. I like the inside mesh zip pockets for papers, ect."

"I love these vests. I ended up selling my last one to a friend, and hated myself for it after. There is a zipper slot on the inside back, and two smaller zippered slot in the front, one on each side. I believe they are for trauma plates, but I'm not positive. Currently, I use the back pouch to hold my hydration bladder."

"For the price you can't beat this vest. I'd even go so far as to say that it's just as good as the blackhawk model that goes for more than double the price. The construction of the vest is adequate for moderate abuse. The mag pouches really will hold two mags, stanag and magpul. The holster fits both my 4" xd and sig 229. It can even hold both models with a streamlight attached, just not well, or with any form of a quick draw. The beltloop on the holster is a nice thought but is messy in application. But the negatives end with the holster. More mag pouches than I know what to do with and a pistol belt that is quality. Best feature I didn't know about before I oredered, the back has a pouch for a camel back. I could do without the tube in the shoulder pad that attempts to give you a good pocket but just gets in the way. Overall, highly recomended over all other vests at this price, and a cheaper option for you blackhawk groupies."

""Way-To-Go" CTD; The UTG Vest is a Great Buy for the money. For someone in Law Enforcement/Security Field, this vest has the right amount of pockets and has enough room to wear body armor vest underneath. I'm glad I bought it."

"Great vest! I'm a big guy at 6'2 290 pounds and it fit. Its snug but not bad at all. If I wore a few layers I don't know that I could fit it comfortably. So for 3xrs out there this will fit for sure! The holster kind of snags the front site of my 1911 but after a few pulls it seems to come out better. The build quality seems pretty dang stout. The zipper is big and nice but could use a zipper pull, a little bit of para cord fixed that issue. You can double stack AR 15 pmags if you want but I prefer singles. Great vest and I will recommend to anyone in the market!"

"This vest is awesome. I'm 5ft 8, 210lbs and had no problem adjusting it to fit properly. It is not a Blackhawk, but for a third of the price, you can't go wrong. I gave it 5 bullets based on fit, adjust ability, comfort, quality and practicality. However, I can't comment on its longevity or durability, but you can't beat a vest like this for the price. CTD provided fast shipping as always."

"I'm a big guy (6' 1" and 265lbs.), and though this vest does fit, only with a thin shirt. If I were to wear a heavy sweatshirt, it may be to uncomfortable, and as it is with a thin shirt on, it's not too comfortable. This vest, in my opinion is for slimmer people, at least slimmer than me.The build quality seams good, and has plenty of pockets. I wish this product came with more info on it's fitting size, and capabilities. I'll probably gift this to a friend of mine, who is smaller in frame than I am, and buy a new, more expensive & bigger. But in the end, if you're a small to medium size person, you'd be very happy with this vest!"

"Vest arrived two days earlier than expected. Was packed nicely. Checked it over and very pleased with the vest. Fits me well out of box need to adjust it some but greatly pleased with it. I recommend this vest to anyone looking for a good vest. 30 round ar mags fit well. Pistol mag pouches work well for my xd45 mags. Will be adding more to this vest. As always great job and product from cheaperthandirt keep up the great work... john oregon"

"I didn't give this vest 5 stars because it's not absolutely perfect. However, this is still a great vest for the money. Its mesh design might breath a little easier in warmer climates. It has plenty of magazine pouches. I was able to get 8 thirty-round AR magazines and 3 full-sized double-stacked pistol mags. I chose to use the pistol holster, so that left me with an extra 2 mag pouch to throw on the "I'll never use that" pile. My biggest problem with this vest is the handle. It seemed a little flimsy and it didn't seem like it would take very much to tear the stitching out either. It would probably be fine to carry around a fully loaded vest, but that handle wouldn't hold up to much of anything else. All in all, it's a good vest and I'm satisfied."

"I am a slender guy (180 lbs.) and the vest can be made to fit, but you can tell that it was made for guys 250lbs-plus. It is also quite inflexible. I'd have to run it through a lot of paces and run-n-guns before it got broken in. I bought it for SHTF...hopefully I never need it!"

"Ordered this vest on Monday and got it Thursday morning. Great shipping. First impression was"Nice!!" After unpacking and some adjustments, I grabed all my pre-arrangeed gear to start stacking it up. Fits 6 PMag AR-15 30 round mags in the non-removable pouches snugly with plenty of retention from the hook and loop. In fact I will trim some of the extra material off.Holster fits both my XD-45 Service model as well as my Glock 23. Pistol Mag pouches on the left chest fit both size mags as well along with the two pouches on the pistol belt. Holster for pistol does protrude out a bit even after some strap adjustments. Comes with another rifle mag pouch to the left of the pistol holster as well as a removable one in place of the pistol holster. With a drop leg pistol platform you can have 12 AR mags ready to go. Will be ordering that soon along with a butt pack. Great product for the price."

"This is a great vest for the money. I'm a big guy (6'1", about 250lbs), and it fits very comfortably, even fully loaded with my Glock 21 and extra mags, and AR-15 mags. It breathes very well with the mesh layer, and is sturdily made. CTD strikes again. Thanks, guys."

"I got it all adjusted and it fits great, and Im a broad-shouldered guy (6' tall, 240lb.). It would get much smaller or larger, so dont be afraid of it not fitting. Didnt give it five bullets because the belt and the belt clips seem a little lower quality than the rest of the vest. It's a simple fix to swap it with the Uncle Mike's belt I have had. The second issue is the double mag pouch doesnt fit the 30 round AK-47 (metal) mags, as well the four pouches that are attached directly to the vest. It has plenty of flex. Looking forward to some range time this weekend."

"The vest came in three days. It was much better quality than I expected. I am very happy with my purchase. Would have given a 5 but I'm not sure if holster will keep a sidearm close to the vest after some wear and tear. Still a great item for the money"

"What a great way to hold your supplies while hunting! The holster is great quality and fits my Taurus 1911 perfectly. The pistol mag pouches easily hold two mags each. I don't own an AR style rifle, so I have yet to test the fit of the mags, but I do use the AR pouches to store extra ammo boxes and additional pistol mags. I am a large guy (6'1" 250 lbs) with a beer belly, so I was a little hesitant about fitting and comfort. Lucky for me, the vest is very easy to adjust, and the belt as well. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase and I would highly recommend this over the cheaper vests."

"After doing some research, I decided to take a chance and order this rig which was so much cheaper than Blackhawk and the others. It was at my door inside of three days. It seems well made, durable, and is exactly what one would want in a tactical vest. Will work extremely well in the summer with all of the mesh. It fits my AK-47 magazines without a hitch and I like the option of switching out the cross draw holster for the additional two magazine holder that comes with the setup. You're not going to find a better bang for the buck and I highly recommend it."

With my set up I'm happy and can carry 197 rounds on me comfortably not using the two extra mag holders."
