What a find! Original USMC Marpat packs that were used by the US Military. Designed by Arc'teryx, manufactured by Propper, these Improved Load Bearing Equipment (ILBE) Packs were first introduced in 2004 to replace the heavier MOLLE Packs for the US Marine Corps.

Designed to carry a load of 120 pounds with better weight distribution, made them better than the MOLLE system. Featuring an internal aluminum frame, thicker more comfortable shoulder straps and kidney belts, along with padding on the back and compression straps will allow you to keep the load more centered.

Heavy duty construction in Digital Marine Camo Patern (MARPAT) it also features a thick rubber tubing around the heavy duty double zipper pulls that are easy to find by feel in the dark or grip with gloves on; main compartment zippers are the full height of the pack on either side so you can reach into the bottom without removing everything.

The buckle on lid allow for quick access to the zippered pouch, and the main pack features two elastizied collar pouches, one on either side on the bottom, and buckle attachment points for the ILBE MARPAT Assault Packs.

Pull the front snap closure to unroll the integreated Hydration Pouch pocket, which buckles in three places. Inside the huge bucket designed pack, there is a collapsible divider to allow separation of the upper and lower areas. Quick release shoulder straps are height adjustable, the whole system is one size fits all, and features waterproof Cordura Nylon and ITW Nexux Fastex GhillieTex Infrared-Reduction (GT IRR) Polymer Buckles.

These packs are rugged, very comfortable, and had an initial acquisition cost of over $700.

"I received this pack today and was excited that it arrived. That is the best news about this pack. The one that I received was coated in mud which I did not mind after all it is surplus. Upon closer inspection it looks as if the straps were completely torn off the bag as someone tried to sew them back on. It is coming apart at the seams at the bottom of the bag and at multiple points on the shoulder harnesses. The zipper teeth for the cover of the bag were completely non-serviceable, teeth are mangled beyond repair. This is the first military surplus item I have ever returned and I expect it to be pretty beat up because it is surplus. This was just completely unacceptable."

"I saw this surplus pack and ordered it. It arrived fast, as always with cheaper than dirt. It had some minor wear and tear and a broken buckle. Easy to fix with a scrub brush and a spare SR buckle. It was an awesome pack for the price. Room for all of my heavy winter gear, snow shoes, and rifle scabbard. A well designed comfortable pack. Too bad every web site can't run as efficiently as cheaper than dirt. :("

"After reading other reviews, I was expecting a well used, heavily worn pack, especially considering the price. Upon receipt I was very pleasantly suprised. Not only was the pack clean, but all zippers, straps and buckles were in perfect condition. The only indicator I had of previous use was the extra strap length had been taped up by some careful Marine!"

"Just ordered this pack 2 days ago and here already. WOW. The pack is exactly as they described and in outstanding condition, overall looks almost new to me, even the labels aren't worn out. This is one heavy duty pack and worth a lot more than they are asking for it. My wife even asked if I'd get one for her which I will be doing soon."

"I received my pack the other day and was very happy with it. It looks brand new. No sign of wear. Absolutely perfect. They do a great job on restoring these packs. It's big and all a guy needs to get the job done."

"The pack is in OK shape, lots of tape on it and some stains but should clean up good."

"The item arrived a couple days late due to a massive snowstorm in the northeast. No problem there. The tracking info updated so I knew it was going to be late and the reason was legit. My son loves the pack! I doubt this was ever used at all and if it was, it was by a REMF - not someone on the front lines. Definitely recommend."

"This is an Awesome Pack if you missed out is sucks to be you. My Pack arrived in about 5 days and was better than I expected being a grade II. It's all there in very good condition I am very pleased with this Pack .(GET ONE YOU WONT REGRET IT!)"

"This pack came in well packed and shipped and was much better than I had expected. As a long distance back pack enthusiast in the past, I know what features to look for in an internal frame, high capacity pack. This blows away many of the domestic packs on the market. The zippers have rubber hose on them so that they don't make noise and are rugged and easy to use. There must be a million ways to attach your other packs, bed rolls, and equipment and everything is in good working order. I've NEVER seen a pack of this quality offered for such a good price. Thanks CTD for a great deal on a great pack!"

"When I opened the box and pulled the bag out , I was a little overwhelmed with all the straps and size of the bag. The bag arrived in good shape. Dirty? Yes , but that was expected. No damage. Not repaired or patched up in any way. After looking it over for a minute , its a pretty simple bag , with a lot of nice features. The best parts? Shoulder straps and waist belt , huge storage capacity , compression straps EVERYWHERE! I really like how on each side , is a full length storage area for long items like tent poles , I was even able to stuff a Mossberg 500 on one side.My buddies saw how much extra room I had after I loaded up all my stuff , and to my surprise , I ended up packing stuff that they could not carry in their bags. You are welcome , guys. Thanks for the Great bag! Well worth the price. The 2 guys I went backpacking with both said they are going to get one."

"I saw this pack at a couple Army surplus stores but the price was steep. When I saw it in CTD I bought it immediately. Perfect condition with a little dirt thrown in. No problem at all for the price."

"This pack is in excellent condition and practically brand new. There is little to no where, buckles are pristine, and the pack is completely clean. Very happy with this bag and the fact I've seen it listed on other sites for $200-300 makes it a steal.I look forward to using this on my future Elk hunts."

"I was a little nervous purchasing this product because of the first review but I received it way sooner than expected and the backpack was in in excellent condition. I loaded it up with all my gear and put it on. The pack is very comfortable and has plenty of room. The only complaint is with the shipping cost from cheaper than dirt, it's never cheap but other than that I'm very happy with my purchase."

"I bought 2 of these and both are almost brand new. I ordered 2 more, if they're half as good as the 1st ones I'll be happy."

"I ordered two of these bags and was in great shape. The other had a two inch tear that had been repaired and had what appeared to be expanding foam smeared on the top. I had to use a sander to try and remove. with all that said I feel they are a good buy other then the smell."

"This ruck is in good shape for being used. Fast shipping and the price was fair. You can pack a lot of sh!# in this ruck."

"Pack was nearly new. All buckles and straps in great working order, only slight scuff marks on buckles gave any indication that the pack was used. No previous owner name anywhere on pack. Would order another, if I needed a 2nd."

"Received it within the expected time frame, and the condition was excellent just as stated in the description!! It was basically in brand new condition except for a scribbled out name on the inside of the pack, which is fine by be. Two thumbs up CTD!!!!"

"I'm sure there are other bags out there that cost hundreds of dollars that may be more ergonomic and more comfortable but, for the price, this bag can't be beat. Its super durable and can adjust a lot to fit most body types and its carrying capacity is HUGE! i take it with me on every trip i go on regardless if its camping or just visiting family. I always have plenty of room for all my stuff and i never have to worry about this thing falling apart. highly recommend!"

"This is an extremely well designed pack, is so comfortable to wear, and it arrived in excellent condition; i.e., like new! It doesn't come with instructions, so go to You Tube! I love the design for adding a day pack/assault pack to the back of the pack. It's awesome that I'll be able to use the mortar round holders for holding hiking poles. I'll probably take this to Europe with me next Spring, and I can hardly wait! I just can't get over my good fortune in acquiring this pack! Definitely and highly recommend this! Amazing gear!"

"Surplus item, so there is some risk in ordering. Mine had a 2 inch tear on the bottom of the pack, Other than the hole, the pack is in good shape......well used, but good condition."
