Unequaled Value! Unquestioned Performance!

Try some TULAMMO, manufactured at the Tula Cartridge works in Russia. Founded in 1880, Tula Cartridge Works is one of the most significant producers of small-arms ammunition in the world. Over the past several years the factory launched production of a wide variety of commercial products for training, self-defense, and hunting. Such ammunition is marketed Worldwide under the trademark TULAMMO.

The cartridge .45 Auto is used for sporting and training pistol shooting in shooting galleries and ranges. The cartridge keeps its qualities under various climatic and weather conditions no matter what the season is. The .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) is also know as the .45 Auto.

This TulAmmo load features a Zinc Coated projectile. Zinc coating is a chemical method of surface treatment (galvanizing) which gives the bullet jacket a more uniform and consistent protective layer than that of machine-stamped bimetal bullet jackets. Thanks to this, cartridges with zinc-coated bullets provide up to 10-15% better shooting accuracy than cartridges with bimetal bullets.

"shot 100 rounds of this ammo. No jams. The casings are dirty and will get your fingers black from loading. Overall this ammo did what it was suppose to, shoot, and hit the target, and not jam while doing so. i will buy more of this ammo for the range."

"Ordered 500 rds. Couldn't get through first 25 rds before I had 2 squib rounds with no powder. The bullets got stuck in the barrel and had to be pushed out with a rod. The rounds that did go off felt underpowered. I've shot the old white box tula without problem but this new stuff sucks. Now i'm stuck with a bunch of ammo I don't trust."
1.0 5
"Do not purchase this brand. In less than 50 rounds I had 2 squibs. Lucky the damn bullets didn't jam further into the barrel. The quality control must be nonexistent. Shame on CTD for selling this garbage."
1.0 5
"I shot three boxes of this ammunition and each box had 2 squib loads (primer but no powder) so most of my time was spent dissembling, removing a bullet from the barrel, and reassembling. I would not purchase this ammunition again."
1.0 5
"Bought 750 rounds. First round was fine, second had NO POWDER! Took a gunsmith over an hour to fix it. I'm just lucky I know one to do it for free. DO NOT BUY THIS, IT IS JUNK!!!!!"

"**** DO NOT PURCHASE THIS AMMO!!! **** NOT ONLY WERE THERE SQUIB LOADS THAT JAMMED MY GUN'S BARREL, BUT THEY WON'T FEED OR EXTRACT PROPERLY!!!"

"1 squib in 50 rounds, I would love to see the factory this stuff comes from. do not buy"

"When a deal is too good to be true. I purchased 2000 rounds of this crap, out of the first 50 rounds fired, I have had 3 under power that have stuck in the barrel. Had to punch them out, was easy to do so there must have been NO powder in casing. I can't trust this ammo."

"*** Follow up to the 7/14/10 posting ***After venting my concerns on this post, and with CTD staff, I was contacted WITHIN AN HOUR by CTD staff referring me to Tula's USA Rep. Within THIRTY MINUTES of that (without me contacting them yet), I heard from Tula's USA CEO, requesting information (issues, lot number etc) and informing me that a new shipment (diffrent lot) would be sent to me shortly, and that they would pay to have the old lot returned to them. Now, the new ammo hasn't arrived yet (coming shortly from Russia), but the customer service I received based on my complaint was SECOND TO NONE, from BOTH Cheaper Than Dirt and Tula USA. It was a clear cut example of how things should be done."

"Do yourself a favor, stay away from this crap! I went to the range with 8 boxes of this stuff, and could not finish the first box. I got a squib in the second magazine! I had a bullet stuck in the barrel of my Glock 30 and could not get it out until I went home. This pistol has shot every kind of ammo without any problem whatsoever. I give this a 1 bullet because there are no minus bullets."

"I bought these .45s because they were a good price. Went to the range and shot about 1.5 boxes of this ammo. Accuracy was TERRIBLE I was not able to hit the broad side of a barn. Even the WWB ammo shot much much much better than this crap! Unfortunately my problems did not end there. I got a squib load about 75 rounds in. Tried to take a wooden dow rod and push it out. Broke the rod trying to get the stuck bullet out. I had to take it to my gunsmith to have him try his hand. Fortunately he was able to get it out without any damage to the barrel and did not charge me anything. I have learned my lesson DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!!"

"Bought 4 boxes and fired 100% without a dud. Will buy more."

"Like Copter796 I was having squib rounds, at least one per 50 rd box. I too spoke w/Lisa Weaver in public realations in TULAMMO, USA, in mid July, and she promised she would send me 500 rds of Tula 45ACP when their next shipment arrived to include a prepaid UPS mailer label to return 412 of the problem rds.On 02 Sept, I received 500 rds of TULA 45ACP along w/ the UPS label. On 03 Sept, I fired apprx 150 rds of the new ammo in my KIMBER Desert Warrior. There were no mechanical problems w/ the ammo in this weapon, and it produced good groups from distances of 4-25 yds. Of course, the only downside is that the powder is still dirty, necessitating extra time to clean the barrel. This is the tradeoff for all the attractively priced Russian made ammo.Again, thanks to Ms, Weaver and TULAMMO for their taking care of their customers in as timely as possible manner. Now, if they could only sell directly to us customers."

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK! Had a squib first box in. Almost destroyed my Kimber. Pay a few more bucks and buy some better ammo."
3.0 5
"Why are you guys so hard on Russian ammo? I have had all kinds of American ammo take a poop on me. If you shoot a lot of rounds you will one day run in to trouble with any ammo, but I have had no trouble. I use it in my MPA MAC 10. Great buy. At least the Russians don\uFFFDt take all your money for a box of ammo. Thanks CTD. Get you some!"

"I also got the ammo as promised from Ms. Weaver & Mr. Grasso at Tula, and shipped them the old stuff back (all free of charge). Yesterday, I shot several boxes of it at the range, through several diffrent 45's and it ALL functioned without problem. It appears that the batch we all had through this last summer WAS the culprit, and I'm happy to say the new stuff is good, range/plinking/fun ammo that you'd expect for the price. Once again, good job to the Folks at TulaUSA, and to CTD for getting them in touch with me, and for stepping up and fixing the problem in short order."
3.0 5
"I was very frustrated after having a dud at the beginning of my second box but have not had any trouble since. I've put 8 boxes through my H&K USP Expert with no problems after that second box. It was accurate enough. The ammo is not clean, which is why it doesn't get more bullets from me. Would purchase again."
1.0 5
"I had two squibs in one box of 50. Not acceptable at all. Enough said."
5.0 5
"I shot 100 rounds without any promblems. This is good ammo for the money and I will buy more."
5.0 5
"I shot 150 rounds at the range on Saturday with no jams or squibs as others had described. Worked great as inexpensive range ammo and I will purchase more in the future."
5.0 5
"I shot 250 rnds. through my Colt 1911. No failures, burns clean. Accuate as can be. Not like Wolf ammo at all."
4.0 5
"I just ran 300 rounds through my Glock 30 with no FTF's or FTE's. Regarding accuracy, I'm as accurate with this ammo as with any other ammo I've used; deviations are certainly due to the shooter, not the ammo or the firearm. Tula doesn't burn as clean as other brands but you're going to scrub that gun afterwards anyway, right? Excellent range ammo. I'll buy more for sure."
4.0 5
"I ordered just one box of this ammo and it worked flawless in my Springfield XD."
5.0 5
"This stuff worked flawlessly in my Remington 1911 R1. NOT A SINGLE ISSUE. Find out if it works for you because if it does, it'll be so cheap to shoot to your heart\uFFFDs content. I've shot 300-400 rounds of it and I'm sitting on another 750. Love it!!"
4.0 5
"I got my ammo quickly (as always, thanks CTD) and went to the range with it right away. I only had time to run the first box of 50 through my Kimber, but it cycled with no issue and didn't have any duds or misfires. At almost half the price of most practice ammo I hope the rest of it works just as well. I'll update if I end up having any issues."
4.0 5
"I am an avid shooter. I loved shooting as much as we were allowed to in the Corp. I shot in division matches. I bought this ammo for my Springfield Micro Compact, and I also have a Rock Island (looking to upgrade!) Out of the 600 rnds of this ammo I bought I had one misfire, the firing pin did not connect with the primer to leave enough of an impression. I put that round back in the weapon and it fired the second time. I dont suggest working on double taps and failure drills but for some practice time behind a trigger this stuff cant be beat. From one more happy customer, Thanks Cheaper Than Dirt and Tula I will be buying more ammo from here! I also receive this ammo in a VERY timely fashion! I ordered it and 3 days later it was on my doorstep..."
4.0 5
"I bought 200 rounds after reading the reviews. It seemed most of the negative posts were in the same general times and were victims of a bad manufacturer's lot. I fired 50 rounds through my hi-point (cheap gun cheap ammo) and didn't have a single misfire. This shipping was astonishingly quick, and if the rest of my order fires as cleanly as the first 50 I'll be buying more."
4.0 5
"I've experienced no issues as stated earlier with my XD45. In my opinion the cartridge is a bit under-powered compared to loads like Remington's UMC load which is about the same price. It's pretty dirty and smoky, I would clean after using this load. I'm a bit anxious to use the .40 cal load on my Beretta 96D centurion, and the 9mm load on my Sigma."
4.0 5
"So I've just finished running 500 rounds of this stuff through my Para 14-45 without a single issue. As others have stated, it is dirty, filthy in fact. As long as you start out with properly lubricated equipment, you should be fine. I started out with \"dry\" magazines, and had some trouble at around 200 rounds. A little rem-oil fixed that and the rest went through without a hitch. I will be buying this again."
5.0 5
"Used my 1911 Springfield. Shot over 200 rounds without a single issue. As others have stated, it is dirty, filthy in fact but some good lube and you should not have a problem. Only downer really, it is a dirty round to shoot...but for the quality and price, why complain? It\uFFFDs awesome for the shooting rage."
5.0 5
"I was a little worried buying this Ammo because bad reviews. It shot great! Nice groups. It definitely is dirty but I had no misfires in a box of 50. Great Ammo to shoot."
4.0 5
"This is the best price and best range ammo on the market. At this price one or two misfires out of 50 a great ratio compared to most ammo costing much more. As the title reads, \"You get what you pay for\"."
4.0 5
"A few of my buddies and I shoot now and them. This was very good and very inexpensive. I will definitely buy more."
4.0 5
"Bought about 500 rounds of the Tula and have made it through around half or slightly more than half and overall, I am very pleased. The only issue is it is dirty, but most plinker ammo is. I had two FTF where the firing pin was crimped, but I reloaded them and they fired the second time. I shot them from a Glock 36 and 30 and a Kahr CW45 and if they will shoot out of a Kahr, then they should just about fire out of anything."
5.0 5
"Was a little concerned when I purchased this ammo. Shot 50 rounds through a Metro American Custom II 45 - no jams, shoots clean.A good buy for you target shooters."
1.0 5
"All the rounds I could get chambered fired, but trying 3 different perfect condition and maintained factory magazines, this stuff feeds very poorly. At best I got 5 shots off before a FTF. This ammo is probably fine for a .45 REVOLVER, but I will be giving the rest of mine away. I can't practice with it if it won't feed and chamber.I took 3 kinds of American made ammo with me to the range and I didn't have a single FTF in 300 rounds, including rapid fire. Bout all I need to know.Lastly, it is dirty as everyone notes, but that was never a concern as I clean my guns every outing anyway."
3.0 5
"This is not the best target ammo, but for the price, you can't beat it. I shot 150 rounds out of my Rock Island 45 ACP with no jams or any other problems. Besides being smokey and a little dirty, this is a cheap target ammo for putting holes in paper, and Cheaper Than Dirt service is outstanding."
5.0 5
"I put 250 rounds through a Gov issue 1911 without any problems. Accuracy was excellent. I couldnt tell the groups from the Tula from US produced high quality ball ammo. The only downside is the gun was very dirty after. It took a bit longer to clean.I was hesitant to shoot this cheap stuff but will continue to buy it."
3.0 5
"Okay, fellow shooters, for those of us with multiple guns this is not the ammo to shoot. It was perfect with my M&P and Glock, however in my Springfield 1911, it didn't load properly. Maybe it doesn't do well in single stack mags. I'm not sure, but I'm buying more and it is recommended, however, I'm staying with the local Federal for the 1911."
4.0 5
"As its been stated in the other reviews this is a very smokey and dirty ammo. but I fired almost 100 rounds with no missfires and no feeding problems. for those of you who have complained about rounds not making out of the barrel there is a very simple solution. check your rounds before loading them into your magizine. If the bullet has low or no powder than it will be lighter than normal. also shake each round, you should hear a little rattle, but if you hear a loud rattle than there is not enough powder, so don't load that round and it won't get stuck in the barrel. I am very happy with this ammo and I will be ordering more."
5.0 5
"I fully expected alot of problems from this ammo and I got none that I was really worried about. I expected it to be very dirty, very smokey, failure to fires, and poor accuracy. Well it was EXTREMELY dirty and smokey but I had 0 failure to fires out of 300 rounds so far or even jams for that matter and I tested it for accuracy in blind tests against 3 other ammo brands. I used Blazer, PMC, and Remington. Had all 4 mags loaded with a different brand in each and blindly chose one without knowing what brand was in it. With a lazer at 25 yards I couldnt tell a difference in accuracy. But I sure knew when I got the Tul's because instead of fireballs it just made ALOT of smoke. As long as it goes bang every time I will shoot the heck out of this stuff until the Russians run out."
5.0 5
"I love Tula ammo, it's so cheap and it's great for what it is. I ran about 400 rounds of this stuff through my RIA 1911 GI. It's dirty ammo, but my gun runs fine and I typically clean it after 150 rounds, which is usually 2-4 range trips for me. I'm about to order another 500 rounds. I highly recommend this ammo to anyone who wants cheap practice ammo."
5.0 5
"Bought 200 rds, shot 50 this morning through a Vega/Remington Rand 1911. Not a single misfire or squib. Pattern was nice and tight. Weighed all of them prior to shooting, hoping to catch squibs before going to the range. All weighed between 20.47 and 20.92 grams. Two of them weighed 21+.Would recommend, great ammo, great price. It is dirty, clean gun immdeiatley after use."
5.0 5
"I shot 50 rounds through my ruger 45, kimber, and springfield 1911 and it all shot great with no jams or misfires!"
4.0 5
"I used a box of this through my American Classic II and every round fed and fired perfectly. The accuracy was not bad either. I have read other reviews where it's dirty, but I noticed it was not that bad while cleaning my pistol afterwards. I will buy more!. I bought some Tula 9mm for my Glock 19, but have not tried it as of yet. I will post on that later."
4.0 5
"This was good range ammo. Not one error of any kind. It was not as dirty as lots of shooters say. I was shooting 100 rounds of PMC \"Bronze\" last week and that stuff fouled up my Para 1911GI pretty bad. This Russian stuff is a great deal."
4.0 5
"This stuff shot great through my RIA 1911 CS. Dead on but as mentioned before it is smokey. I will buy more for $12."
1.0 5
"This stuff is so dirty, 4 fail to feed from 1 box in my pt145. When I got home I had to break down my mags to clean them. I sold the other 5 boxes i bought for a profit, that earned it the 1 bullet rating."
4.0 5
"Kicked 100 through my S&W M&P .45. No problems. Like others have said, Not the cleanest. But, I clean my gun after every outing anyway. For the price I actually get to shoot my gun as much as I like to. It does hurt a little to shoot rounds not built in the USA. So I still mix in some boxes of US built bullets."
4.0 5
"Just shot 130 rounds tonight thru my Custom II, had a few FTFs but for the price I will take it. Was smoky as previously described but I will be buying more soon."
4.0 5
"This is hands down the cheapest .45 out there. I've run around 3500 rounds of this stuff through my Para 14.45 without a single misfeed, FTF, whatever. Yeah it's filthy. What did you expect? I tag the action on my pistol with some rem-oil every couple hundred rounds and everything is hunky dorry. A full cleaning after about 1000 rounds, and the buildup isn't as bad as you would think."
5.0 5
"This is pretty good ammo, for the price. If you aren't reloading, it is stupid to pay for the brass as long as the ammo fires and this stuff does. Dirty? Well, it's not as bad as some say and you should clean your pistol or rifle anyway. Have shot a thousand rounds or so, through a Colt 45 and Thompson with zero failure. Used to use Wolf (I know this is supposed to be from the same maker), but tried this when the Wolf got pricey. Only problem is that shipping charges (on all ammo) seems a little high, but CTD does a good job of getting it out quickly at 16 bucks a box is about as cheap as a man can \"plink\" a 45. Try this stuff, you'll be pleased. Save your good stuff for the \"bad guys\". :-)"
2.0 5
"Never had any issues with this ammo, but my local range will no longer allow it to be used due to metallic core in the bullets (if I understood correctly). Like I said, I never had a problem, but I now have a few hundred rounds and no place I can use them... recommend you check with your range before you buy."
4.0 5
"I ran 40 rounds thru my new springfield 45 xd and it performed well. It also works good in my 45 american classic 11. I also used tula 9mm in my glock 19 and berrta m9 and so far I have had no problems with this ammo except for being a little dirty. You cannot beat the price"
5.0 5
"I read the previous reviews and took the chance on ordering 500 rounds Tuesday. They arrived Thursday before I could even get home from work (good job CTD). Went out to the range today and shot 100 trouble free rounds through my RIA full size .45. I only had 1 round where the slide failed to go into full battery on the last round in a full mag and that issue could have been the new mag I was using. I wish I had more money at this time to buy another 500 rounds as the first 100 were all WELL worth tne money. Also this ammo is no dirtier than WWB or american eagle that I could tell. If you don't like Tula then don't buy it. I will need more of this and it will be there for me."
4.0 5
"I purchased 500 rounds of this ammo for range use. Shooting with a Glock 21C I had a few failure to feed. Overall great ammo for target shooting. Would not depend on for self defense."
4.0 5
"I've run 750 rounds through my two .45's and have had no problems. It isn't the most accurate in the world but it's cheap."
2.0 5
"I bought 4 boxes of the Tulammo and had nothing but problems with the Glock 21SF. Its a brand new gun so its not broke in but still very annoying when every 5th round or so would not feed properly. I'm staying away from steel cased for awhile. Also the ammo is very dirty so expect black hands when loading and take some extra special time cleaning your gun."
5.0 5
"I was a little worried about these based on the reviews, but for the price I couldn't pass these up. Bought 3 boxes on Feb 27, received them Mar 1 (great job CTD!) Took 2 boxes to the range that weekend and didn't have a single FTF or FTE. My Llama MAX-I ate these up like candy. A little dirty, but if you clean your weapons properly this is a non-issue. As long as the price holds out I will definitely buy more!"
4.0 5
"I put this ammo through a Glock 21SF. I have no problems whatsoever with this ammo. It feeds, fires, ejects like any other ammo. The polymer coating on the steel case doesn't stick like another brand's lacquer coated steel case, allowing for easy mag loading. It does fire a little dirty. I clean my firearm after every trip to the range, so it's not an issue for me. One caveat, some ranges do not allow Russian made, steel case ammo. Make sure the range you frequent allows this type of ammo."
5.0 5
"This stuff is great for target practice. I would not use it in my night-stand gun, but I found it to be ok for paper punching. By the way, I have a Glock 21 like the previous reviewer, and I have had no problems at all with this ammo. Also shot it in a Springer 1911, S&W, and Sig 220 with no problems"
5.0 5
"Put 200 down range with my Colt 1911, not one single issue. Will be purchasing more soon."
3.0 5
"i put 98 rounds of this through my Taurus 24/7. 2- FTF and a couple of FTE that I just put back into the magazine. Made my gun a little dirty but that was fixed with a thorough cleaning 30 minutes after shooting. All in all, decent bullets for the price. I would definitely buy these again."
4.0 5
"Bought 50, all fed well and fired well in my Taurus 1911. Left the gun filthy, but its the lowest priced .45 ACP I have found. Good practice ammo."
5.0 5
"I bought 1 box to try and loved it so much went out last Saturday and bought anther 4 boxes."
5.0 5
"Ordered 800 rounds of this ammo. Put it all through one of my 1911s. Is milder on recoil than some of the more expensive brands. I had NO problems with this ammo. Have ordered 10 more boxes of it. PS: It really did a number on bowling pins & a 5 gallon bucket with a large piece of firewood in it."
4.0 5
"Great plinking ammo, put 200 rds through my .45 XD. Although it seems as if I'm shooting a black powder round because of the gray-ish smoke cloud that is left after every shot."
5.0 5
"I ran 250 rounds through my S&W 1911 with no problems. It shot well and wasn't too dirty and I have 200 more in 45 and 200 in 380 will try the 380 next. I will definitely order more when they get it in stock cant beat that price local shop near my wants $28 for there cheapest and wally world is always sold out"
4.0 5
"Good stuff, I bought 3 boxes of this ammo and put them through my RIA 1911 and it worked flawlessly. I had a dirty gun at the end but clean it either way so that doesn't really matte...r will buy more"
5.0 5
"I bought a couple boxes for my Hi-Point 45ACP. Figured I can practice with it for this cheap. Works great, loads smooth, goes bang and makes holes in the target 25 yards away. Yeah, its a little dirty, but I clean my guns after every outing, so it doesn't really matter. I will be ordering more. The only jam all day in the 45 was with Winchester ammo, and that was only 1 jam."
5.0 5
"I bought 200 rounds of this for just running though my then new Glock 21. I liked the price and the no hassle delivery (which was fast btw). Ordered Thursday morning was at my pickup at noon on Tuesday. It ran like a champ through 1 brand new G21, 1 5 year old G21 with 10000 rounds through it, and flawlessly through sprig XD45. Only one fte which was attributed to limp wristing, otherwise no other incidents. Accuaracy was perfect for the price. Was dirty but that's what cleaning kits are for. Will buy more from this sourch since the price per round is cheaper than the spam can once its available again."
4.0 5
"I bought 200 rounds of the stuff. Ran 150 rounds through my S&W 645 no problems. Accuracy was pretty decent but the ammunition was really dirty. The shells are steel, but if you hold a magnet up to the ball they are magnetic too. FYI some ranges check for this."
5.0 5
"Had no problems at all in SA-XD 45."
2.0 5
"This is garbage ammo! But if you want to practice failure to feed and malfunction drills this is your stuff. just put one or two of these in your magazine mixed in with some reliable ammo and you can practice malfunctions very well."
4.0 5
"I have had no problems shooting this ammo in S&W 4506, son-in law shoots this in a colt 1911 (built 1918)NO JAMS,MISFIRES @ 25 Yard no problems .It is not a clean as the $25.00 a box stuff. But run a bore snake and clean the rail. It is good as new. Plan to buy more."
1.0 5
"Purchases 5 boxes. Fired the first 3 boxes and experience two failure to go into battery. Had to pry open the slide with multi tool. Both times a bullet was stuck in the barrel ~2\" from the muzzle. The ammo is dirty and doesn't smell as good as US made ammo but it is cheap. I may have just gotten a bad batch but it has left a bad taste in my mouth."
4.0 5
"Great plinker round for the money. I ran two boxes through my Para Ord P-14 with no problems. These rounds are dirty as sin, but we should be cleaning our guns after we shoot anyway, right?"
4.0 5
"I purchased 500 rounds and put 250 of them through a brand new Bersa Thunder UC 45. The only problem I had, and it was not a problem, were 2 failure to feeds. A tap on the magazine and the rounds were easily chambered. All rounds fired and went straight. No more smoke than other ammo I've used, and the gun wasn't any dirtier than usual after that many rounds. Have already ordered more of this ammo. Great price!"
5.0 5
"When this ammo was first introduced on the Market there were a lot of complaints on how bad the product was.TULA offered a refund to the folks who experienced quality issues.Since then it seems TULA either re-tooled their machines or figured out the problems with the manufacturing process. They seem to have listened to the consumer and reacted accordingly.Since then I have purchased some of their 45 Auto product and went to town with it using my \"Ugly Duckling\" HI-POINT 45 (Another product that everybody seems to hate, but is a great firearm). I have never had a any problems with the TULA 45 ammo. I was very pleased with the accuracy as well. I was pulling 3 inch, or less, grouping with the TULA. As long as the results are what I have experienced recently I will always use this product for range practice."
1.0 5
"Tried a box of 45 acp and it would not feed. though half a box away. not worth the trouble. Good if you want to practice your tap and rack. Going back to Bitter root, that stuff is great."
5.0 5
"Went thru three boxes in two standard Springfield 1911's. Not one problem. No fails. All consistent. Excellent ammo for the price. Will buy more!!"
5.0 5
"Bought the spam can of this stuff before and every round went bang. Bought 500 more rounds this time and suprise! Every round has gone bang in my dirty colt 1911. Good cheap ammo, just like all other Russian ammo. Little dirtier than other brands but who cares. As long as this stuff is cheaper than the rest, I'll keep buying and recommending it! Thanks again CTD for the super fast processing and shipping!"

"No problems shooting in either of my .45 handguns. No jams like the tulammo .223 I bought at Wally World in my AR or the 9mm in my 17C. Works great it just gets my guns really dirty inside and out, but I clean after each trip to the range so it's not really a problem."

"This stuff if a little dirty and smokey but for the price its great stuff I have fired over 1000 rounds of this stuff through my Kimber, Ruger, and Phillipino 1911 and had never had any malfunctions. Very acuarate and feed reliably."

"Shoots fine in my Ruger P90, and you just can't beat the price. Contrary to some of the other posts, I did not find it to be very dirty either."

"I started with one box to test out the truth to all these negative reviews. After some delay in getting to the range, I finally got to test them this weekend. 50 rds through my Springfield XD45, No jams, no problems at all, and I found it no dirtier than the Remington or Federal rounds that I fired afterward. It wasn't the most accurate round in the world but for range training and practice, or for teaching your wife and her little sisters to shoot, you can't beat this deal. I'm ordering more, no questions asked."

".....Love this ammo for the price. I shot 100 rounds through a Taurus 1911. No issues whatsoever. It smokes more than pricier ammo but no big deal. I clean all the guns after shooting them. I will be buying more. Good stuff to shoot paper at the range! :-)"

"Have shot hundreds of these and never had a single problem in my Glock 21. Its not the most accurate ammo, but I can hit three inch groups at 25yards standing."

"Just went through 3 boxes of this in my XD-45 service model all rounds fired and ejected. Accuracy was acceptable nothing to write home about but nothing horrid either. This is a good range range its cheap and a bit smoky and dirty. If you clean your guns and keep your gear in good shape this is a good round for non-picky .45's."

"This is some really good stuff, and for the price, you can't beat it! I've put 500 rounds through my FNP 45 USG model, and have had ZERO problems. No jams, FTF, FTE, or anything else! It is, however, a little dirty and smokey, but, if you love the smell of cordite, then this is the stuff for you! I will be buying a ton more! :) :)"

"Goes boom boom boom. No problems out of it in my Colt 1991A1."

"Put 100rds through my 1911 this evening. Not a single FTL, FTF or FTE. Ammo is a bit dirty and left more residue on my slide and barrel than others I have shot but at this price it is well worth it."

"Fired 250 rounds in my M&P and liked to choke to death. The smoke is heavier than normal ammo and has a caustic smell - not the satisfying smell of ammo costing only a little bit more. I have 250 more rounds that will remain in storage until I can fire it outside with considerable windage - no jams or misfires. The bad thing is my wife lost her interest in the firing range because of the above. CONCLUSION: you get what you pay for, don't be as cheap as me!"

"This ammo is insanely dirty, but shoots straight every time. No jams, no problems. I fired it through my Glock 30."

"Some of the best .45 ive ever bought. 500 rounds through my SA 1911 Range Officer and not one FTF or FTE! The chamber gets a little dirty but it cleans right up in no time. Not as smokey as some people say. Was shooting next to a guy shooting Winchester .45 WB and it was just as smokey. No visible wear on my extractor. The marks on my previously shot brass are identical to the marks on the steel cased Tula. The Poly coating makes it easier to load Hi-Cap mags because the poly coating is so slippery. The Poly coating does not chip or flake/scratch. Very durable. I will definitely buy more of this. Much more!"

"The first 2 boxes cycled fine through my 1911. The remaining 4 boxes have averaged 2-3 failures to load and 1-2 failures to fire per box. The FTF loads have all had dimpled primers, but fired fine when loaded into the magazine again. They aren't very reliable, but they are cheap.High quality? No.Will I buy them again? Yes.Why? They are cheap, and \"good enough for range use\".That being said, I will not shoot TulAmmo exclusively. My ratio is about 2:1 US made brass to cheap Ruskie steel rounds. Gotta save a little money where you can, reasonably!"

"Bought a box of 45's and unsure of buying more because of 2 misfires out of 30 rounds. No problems with feeding in my taurus. So undecided if i'll buy more cause you can't beat the price even with how dirty the gun was afterwards. I would not depend on them for personal protection."

"First off, I took a chance and purchased a \"High Point\" 45 Auto just for a tool I could carry in my truck and it would be no great loss if stolen.Just for %&@!% and giggles I bought two boxes of the TulAmmo to give it a day in court. It cycled perfectly, went bang every time and held a 3 inch pattern at 50 feet. What more could a person ask for with any ammo or firearm.Since then I bought a whole bunch more TulAmmo and I have yet to have any problems with this ammo in any of our 45's. It has the same performance through our Glocks as well; this is very affordable ammo.I would actually depend on this ammo for personal protection if ever caught in a tight spot, however, taking no risks with my life I do use the ammo made for human consuption for that matter. As for the \"High Point\", it is a bit heavy (which inturn helps control muzzle flip and recoil), it is a bit awkward looking and I have been told it almost looks like a big \"Desert Eagle\". I would recommend the \"TulAmmo\" and \"High Point\" combination to anybody; even someone I cared for. As most \"High Point\" owners say, \"If it fails to function, you can always beat the living target to death with it\". It has since earned the name \"Big Bertha\".Not trying to put other firearms down, but I must say, if the \"TulAmmo\" does not work in your tool, I would check the tool before blaming this ammo. Thanks again CheaperThanDirt.com, American made firearms and Russian ammo."

"This ammo cycles fine through my Springfield M1911. I've shot a couple hundred rounds of this with no problems with mis-feeds, FTF or FTE. Seems to burn about as clean as anything else, too (though I use a lot of Breakfree CLP on the range). It does not seem to shoot as accurately, as consistently as some other ammo, though. Groups are bigger and maybe one of every 15-20 rounds seems to go awry. Good enough for range use and (in a pinch) personal defense within 25 yards or so. Wish I had a .45 ACP carbine so I could really judge the relative accuracy. Still, I'll get more of this for range practice - Lord knows I need lots of practice!"

"I bought three boxes of this to target shoot with my 1911 .45. Now I think there are lots of good reload brands out there like Nutmeg etc. The other loads will hang on load (stuck in the action) and forget defensive HPs. This is a RN sidearm. These rounds not only sit firmly in their cartridge but they feed just right every time, fire well when the pin strikes the primer and have yet to experience a FTF or FTE. No stove pipes, no excessive smoke. You smell a bit of a sweet burn but the gun was no more dirty than with other loads, and I keep my sidearms clean and well oiled/maintained all the time.I find Winchester rounds (white box reloads) to be far dirtier and less reliable. These are a great deal. They'll even be used for personal protection. a .45 is devastating as a pistol round so stopping power isn't an issue here."

"I purchased 500 rounds a few months back when this item became available on CTD. It has mostly collected dust since buying it, but I went shooting a week ago and ran it through my brand new Springfield XDM 45. I didn't have ANY problems and when I was on the rifle range I was done shooting my .308 but my buddy wasn't ready to leave so I pulled out my 45 again. I shot and hit a 10\" metal gong @100 Yds 5 out of 13 shots while standing and resting my hand against a post! I have shot better with my 40s&w @100 Yds and using higher dollar ammo, but I was amazed with this ammo!"

"After reading several positive reviews, I decided to purchase 2 boxes of this ammo. This ammo is absolute garbage! I had 22 FTEs out of 100 rounds. This is the only ball ammo I have ever had trouble with in my Colt Mark IV. Save yourself the frustration and spend an extra few bucks to get a better quality round. I was suckered in by the price but this ammo plain sucks."

"Shot 200 rounds thru my Springfield XD45. Not one misfire or ejection problems. Good round and a great value."

"Decided to try this after reading the widest range of reviews on various websites I can ever recall. I like it. It's cheap and it shoots fine in the SIG and Ruger pistols I tried it in. It may not be the most accurate around but neither am I. I've had no failures of any kind out of 250 or so rounds. It's steel cased and steel jacketed but that doesn't present any problems with function in either the $1000 handgun or the $450 handgun that I've used it in thus far. Would I buy it again? At this price point, you betcha I will."

"Great ammo at any price, goes through all of my 1911's, Glocks, SIGs, HKs, etc. My uncle and I shoot quite a bit of it and never had a problem we can relate to the ammo. Sometimes a gun needs to be broke in or cleaned or is just plain junk and won't feed anything you put through it. Tula is good stuff and you can shoot a hell of a lot more of it for the price. In my opinion, if you are having issues with this ammo it is more likely your brand new, tight gun or your cheap factory mags. Nobody puts good mags in with the pistol any more. Wilson Combat mags are a must-have for any 1911 to work right."
3.0 5
"Shot 250 rounds total through an XD and PT 145, (both 45 cal.), never had an FTF or FTE with either one these guns after several hundred rounds until I used this ammo. Had five or six FTF with each gun, it was as if there wasn't enough power to ratchet the slide and feed the next round. Was a little dity but not too bad. Maybe I just got a bad batch. I'm sticking with Federal."

"Ammo jammed a Kahr CW45 multiple times. I will not buy this ammo again."

"Bought this stuff to run thru my Glock 30SF. Stuff goes bang...ran 50 rnds so far, no malfunctions. Stuff stinks to high heaven tho...thats probably due to the polymer coating...other than that...as long as it goes bang, I really don't care...worth the money."

"I have put over 1,000 rounds of TulAmmo .45ACP through my Colt M1991, 5\" barrel with zero malfunctions. One of the rounds sounded like it was loaded hot, but never had a FTF or FTE. The bad news it that the propellant they use is very dirty. After putting 50 rounds through the pistol, it looks like I've been digging in the back yard with it. After 400 rounds at the range, the front 1/2\" of the pistol is coated in carbon and it blows clouds of smoke when you fire it. But, the ammo is accurate and reliable, and is dirt cheap for general target shooting. Just understand that you're going to have to put some extra time and elbow grease into cleaning your firearm when you're done."

"Never had one problem with my brand new Beretta Px4 Storm .45 ACP.I shot over 500 rounds, with 300 in one trip. TulAmmo has my vote, and is well worth the price."

"After reading all the way through every one of the reviews on this product, I was concerned about it's reliability. Rather than order an entire case, I just bought 150 rds. Went to the range today with a brand spanking new Kimber Pro and never had one FTF or FTE. Shot all 150 rds and they worked flawlesly. For the price, I will definitely order this product next time, and in case quantities."
5.0 5
"I bought this ammo in .45 acp to shoot out of my RIA 1911. I shot a full box of 50 as fast as I could pull the trigger to see if I could get it to Jam. Well not one jam, FTF or any other problem. I was skeptical but for the price I thought I would give it a try and I will definitely be ordering more of this ammo."
5.0 5
"I have put at least 350 rounds of this through my Springfield 1911. Not one issue whatsoever. It is a little dirty but it's pretty accurate and for the price it can't be beat for range ammo."
5.0 5
"If we all wrote bad reviews, there will be more of this ammo for us. That wouldn't be ethical though. Apples to apples, this is a superb brand. Made in Russia. The powder they use is dirtier than high brass American stuff. Glocks love TULA. If your firearm has a problem with this ammunition, then get a new gun. Tula is all I shoot."
5.0 5
"I have put 3,000 rounds of this through my Rock Island Armory 1911-A1 FS within the past three months.Out of those 3k rounds, I had ZERO failures. I had to put a bit more time into cleaning after each session, but it was totally worth it.Only thing I shoot in any of my guns, with the exception of the .22 and 7.62x25mm, and naturally the shotguns."

"All fired. Some were slower than others. More like 600 fps. VERY dirty ammo though. If you want to blast some rounds and like to clean your gun a lot, then buy this."
5.0 5
"Great shooting ammo. Have shot approx 600 rds through various pistols and a Hi Point Carbine. Only had a couple of misfeeds, but I attribute those to the magazine, not the ammo. Doesn't seem any dirtier than the Magtech ammo I shoot."
5.0 5
"I bought a few hundred rounds and shot a couple dozen through my XD Service model. All rounds fired the first time and each round chambered after each spent casing was extracted. I inspected about half the rounds ordered and they looked uniform. If there are any issues with quality, I will use the contact information provided in the product description. It seems like TulAmmo wants to take care of the customers who buy their product and have issues with it. That means a lot. It was cheap so I am not expecting a smokeless experience. There were not enough rounds fired at one time to make a statement as to how clean it burns, but for this price, I am expecting to have to do some cleaning."
5.0 5
"Shot more than 500 rds of the stuff through my XD 45 Tac 5. These are inexpensive and work. If your gun can eat it up and spit it out, while hitting the center of a softball sized target at 50meters, do it. For the price, it rocks. Not for reloading/reusing casings."
4.0 5
"I purchased 250 rounds of .45 ACP recently and was a little concerned, having had bad experiences with TulAmmo in the past. I was very happy with this purchase, as all 250 rounds went bang and made for an enjoyable day at the range. The ammo worked well in both a Springfield and a Kimber 1911. It is a little smokey and we did have one person at the range actually complain about that. All I could say was \"From Russia with Love!\""

"Love cheap ammo and CTD provides me 80% of it. I appreciate reading well thought out reviews and find them helpful, so thanks to my fellow shooters. Hopefully I can live up to that benchmark. As I read elsewhere, with ammo it really is \"does my gun work with this ammo,\" not \"does this ammo work with my gun?\" Of course it would be nice if all ammo worked with all guns. But what are u gonna do? I shot this Tula .45 thru 2 guns: Ruger P345 (100 rnds using 8 rnd mag) and FNH (150 rnds using 14 rnd mag).Ruger - Very little isssue. No FFs. Dirty, but cheap. While it is full frame, it isn't as large as the FNH (shorter distance between sites) which is at least part of my excuse for accuracy issues;) I'd give this ammo 4 bullets using in the Ruger.FNH - 8 of 10 rnds FTE and 1 of 10 FF. Large frame ... I mean LARGE frame handgun. VERY nice grouping and accurate. Long distance between sites provided for well placed paper hits. Seldom had any kind of wild round and never more than 2 inches off which could have just as easily been me. I'd give this ammo 1 bullet using in FNH due to FF & FTE.FYI - Regarding Tula .40, shot it thru 3 different H&K models, P2000, Compact, Full Frame, with seldom to no issues. Rate it as 4 for those guns. Will shoot thru Glock 22 later."

"You can buy up 10 boxes of this stuff and they may all fire, not particularly dirty, but the accuracy of the rounds is poor. Granted, the gun has a lot to do with this too, but the loads are not uniform across even a single box, and consistency is key when target shooting. So, out of the ten boxes you buy, perhaps you can compile 50 rounds that are consistent and worth practicing with. Do yourself a favor and consider better quality and uniform loads if accuracy is important to you. This is not the stuff to buy unless you just want to fire a gun off at the range, not worrying about precision. If the makers can tighten their tolerances a hair more I will buy again. But for now, I'll pay two or three dollars more for accuracy and uniformity."

"Here are the facts: it's cheap ammo that is great for shooting and setting your sights; not the best for home defense, but then again, hollow points are better for that anyway; and it is dirty but you should clean your gun after you shoot anyway. Conclusion: for the price, you cannot beat this ammo unless you can reload your own ammo, at which point why are you looking at steel casings anyway?"

"This ammo is dirt cheap and will leave your handgun dirty. Just shot 200 rounds of this ammo through my Glock 30 and had no FTF or FTE. For the price, I will definitely buy more of this ammo."

"BLUF: Use for fun at the range, make sure you clean every timePROS: Cheap, goes bangCONS: Dirty, possible feed issuesPlowed through a box of this, some Armscor, some Winchester, and some Federal JHP in a brand new RIA Tactical.By far the cheapest of the bunch, I had feed issues in several magazines (el cheapo, OEM, quality CMC); bullet 'nosed up'. The steel casing feels like semi-smooth plastic, instead of polished metal. Even repeatedly used snap caps didn't stick in the mags like a few of these rounds did. While only a minor inconvenience at the range, based on my experience, I would not rely on these for defense or competition. Also, very dirty; I started with ~40 rounds of the Winchester, and the first one of these I shot caught me by surprise. It was like a cloud of dirt! As soon as I moved to the next ammo in the line, dirt went away. When I was done, black soot was all over everything. Cleaned out the entire gun, not just the feed ramp, chamber, and barrel. At about 30% off the next cheapest brand, though, if you are trying to shoot at a range on a budget, it's hard to argue against this stuff. Most of the time, gun goes bang and hole appears in target."

"Was a little concerned about this ammo, but bought two boxes to try out. Use a Springfield XDS with factory mags. Ran thru two boxes with no problems at all. Every round fed and fired, accuracy was good, and a little dirty. For the price, this is good stuff. Will be buying the 450 round can next."

"First time gun owner, first time ammo buyer. I ran 50 rounds of this through my Taurus PT145 and had no problems. We were shooting outside and I did not notice any real dust or smoke clouds that I've seen mentioned in other reviews. Pulled trigger. Went bang. Hole appeared in target, every time.Gun was not especially dirty. Barrel took some serious scrubbing with my Hoppe's solvent and a metal brush, but for the price, I can spend some time scrubbing.Good product, maybe not the best source."

"I have used this ammo since December 2011 in my American Classic II 1911. Works great. I have never had an issue with the ammo. Will continue to use this ammo for my 1911. TulAmmo is a great brand and you can't beat the price."

"Back in May, I wrote that I like TulAmmo for my XD Service. Now, I also like it for my XD-S. I bought a few hundred rounds and shot a couple dozen through my XD Service model. All rounds fired, chambered, and ejected with no hiccups. If there are any issues with quality, I will use the contact information provided in the product description. It seems like TulAmmo wants to take care of the customers who buy their products and have issues with it. That means a lot. They seem to desire to provide a good value to the buyer. In my opinion, they have succeeded. Oh, people talk about not trusting it for home or personal defense? This is BALL ammo! Ball ammo isn't made for defense."

"It works and is cheap. 49 out of 50 through my Sig 1911 with one failure to chamber. Bullet was pushed into the case too far, I think. Will use it for practice but won't be my first line ammo."

"Decent ammo for the price. Fires a little dirty. Good for range use."

"People give this brand such a bad rap. I have shot somewhere in the range of 18,000 rounds of .45acp, 9mm, and .223. In that amount i have had about 3 rounds each of 9mm and .45acp that were bad and 6 .223 cases stuck in the chamber. Since i only use this brand for practice at the range those few failures dont matter. Just got in 500 rounds and went through 300 fast. 200 in my Springfield Range Officer and 100 in my Springfield XD-S. No malfunctions what so ever."

"I have probably put over 200 rounds through my Springfield XD, I have had no misfires, hang fires, squibs(god forbid). It does leave a lot of powder residue. I personally dont care because I clean after every use but some people might care. I do have irregularities in power. It does have up and down recoil so the charges might be irregular and it screws with my accuracy. Still fun and reliable, like it all the same."
4.0 5
"Have shot 200 rounds at the range thru a Glock 30 with no issues other than a bit more dirt than most. Also shot some thru a S&W Governor and noticed that they are quite a bit easier to insert/remove from the necessary moon clips than any brass cases I've tried."

"I bought these at the recommendation of a cop friend who heard about them from a friend. They were cheap and that makes them fantastic for practice, but out of 100, I had at least 25 jam. It is an inconveniance and an aggrevation but I let it slide because the target on the range isn't trying to attack me and they aren't a regular staple in my gun's diet anyway. However, despite the attractiveness of the price, I will go back to practicing with Winchester."

"Have shot over 300 rounds so far in my Taurus PT745 PRO with no issues. Shoots a little dirty, but if you clean your firearm after each use as recommended, there should be no issues. Great range ammo for the price."

"Great ammo for the range. I bought 400 rounds and they have all been sent down range through my Springfield XD. Each one worked perfectly. No misfires and no jams. As others have said it is a little smokey but who cares. The price was right. I was very satisfied. I'll buy more."

"At the range, my son's buddy brought Winchester FMJ, I brought the Tula. I was using a Glock 36 & Auto Ordnance. I had no problems. The Winchester in the other Auto Ordnance my son owns had jams, stovepipes and a damaged round right out of the box. I have shot Wolf for years and now this Tula. Both were/are not excessively dirty or smoky, They shoot true and feed consistently. My son's AO eats Tula fine also. Our pistols are kept clean and lubed. All pistols eat ammo differently and I guess Tula is no exception, but if you have never tried Tula, don't knock it until you have tried it in your pistol."

"I was very nervous in buying this ammo because of the reviews of issues with it properly functioning. Yet, because of the price and pressure to find bulk ammo on a budget, I went ahead and purchased 1000 rounds. I am happy to report that after 250 rounds fired from a: XD-M 45 Compact and a Taurus PT1911 I have yet to have any issues. The ammo is dirty as reported by others on this website. Yet, who does not clean their firearm after use.Honestly, it runs great, shoots straight, and is at a price one does not worry about spending a bit longer at the range. I would not use this ammo at competition or for home/personal defense, but the price (with shipping) a round, it cannot be beat. I will review after all the ammo has been fired, but at this time I can report I will be purchasing this ammo for future range use."

"I like to go to the range a lot and that gets expensive. The Tula ammo for my 45 cal PT745 millennium pro works well. Not awesome, as I will get a jam from time to time. You can't beat the price though if you're looking to plink a lot down range. Accuracy seems good at 45 feet, which is where the range targets go. I keep it in a pretty nice pattern for the most part and it stays on paper when I go off target. Can't complain for the price."

"I wanna start by saying I had 100% reliability and for me they were great. I'm being honest I split a 500 Rd package with friend , I have a Sig 1911 and M&p 45c. I shot 150 through Sig and 100 through M&p not on problem. My buddy has a ruger sr45 he couldn't get 3 in a row to fire. Not sure what's up but that's the honest story on this tula ammo I experienced."

"Picked these rounds for my various .45 pistols to punch paper and slap steel. Had zero issues with this ammunition and it was surprisingly accurate. Gave this only 5 bullets because it feeds reliably despite how dirty the residue is. The steel casings also make cleaning up easier with a magnet. As long as the price is low I'll definitely continue to buy these rounds."

"Put 250 rounds through a Kimber Ultra Carry and 150 through my Glock 36 with zero failures of any kind. Not sure why this ammo get a bad rap. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend"

"I have shot over 1000 rounds of this ammo in 6 different guns with absolutely no issues whatsoever. Both accurate and reliable, I will continue to buy this!"

"Cheap, dirty ammo. I mean DIRTY. But, it the gun can shoot this well... it can shoot anything. That is what I use to abuse my guns at the range."

"Nice grouping at the range no misfeeds."

"This is good quality, relatively cheap ammo- about the price of loose reloads. Use Tulammo all the time at the range, and out of several thousand rounds, I've had MAYBE one failure to fire (might've been the gun itself). Can't find a reason NOT to recommend it."

"Well, I've read all the reviews (most of them anyway), and all I can say is that in my Remington 1911 .45 I have been shooting these about forever, and NEVER had a single DNF or DNE, or anything else. Let me repeat that - NEVER! No problems with the accuracy either. Also, I see nothing to make me think that these are not as clean burning as anything else. So...they may have lost the cold war, but the Ruskies are winning the ammo wars."
