"I bought 100 rounds of several different brands. Tula, Blazer, PMC, Winchester and Federal. None misfired or failed to eject. However, with the Tula ammo I had three fail to feeds. I was very upset as this was a brand new gun. They fire fine but have issues with FTF. I have a Springfield XD 40, so it's not the gun."

"Bought TulAmmo .40 ammo the other day. Went to the gun range to try it out. I shot 100 rounds through a new Taurus PT-740 with no problems. Will buy more of this Russian ammo"

"Good ammo to save at the range. It cycled good in my XD-40 no FTF or FTE. I cant say the same for the BVAC ammo. The only bummer is that I can't shoot this at my local indoor range because of the steel. Buy some you wont regret it just ordered 150 more in 40 S&W and 9mm. Thanks, CTD!"

"I love Cheaper Than Dirt for just about anything. When they had such a great price on this ammo recently I couldn't pass it up. I bought 10 boxes. Bad mistake. It is the very worst ammo I have ever used. I am finding that it jams at least once every time I shoot a 15 round magazine. Sometimes it jams 2 or 3 times in a single magazine. I am shooting a .40 caliber Glock and never had any other ammo jam. I strongly recommend that you do NOT purchase this brand. If I could sell what I have left for half what I paid for it, I would. Never again."

"I wouldn't recommend this ammo. I'm shooting a .40cal Smith and Wesson M&P compact and this ammo jams a LOT. In a 10 round magazine, about 1/2 of them jam. I would say spend the additional $$$ and get something better. I'm going to upgrade and spend a little more for my range ammo next time."

"I bought a box to try out and shot 50 rounds with no issues. I bought another box to take my carry permit class. I've had no issues and it shoots very well. I just bought 10 more boxes. I am using a Glock 23 Gen4."

"I've gone through about 5 boxes of these in my S&W Sigma 40 and I like the way they shoot. What I don't like is how they get stuck in the magazine when loading. It almost seems that there is too much friction on the cases when sliding the rounds into the magazine and usually around the 8th or 9th round, the bullets get stuck in the bottom of the magazine and seize up the spring. When using my LULA this seems to happen even quicker. I'm reduced to loading them 5 at a time, and they will usually all fire when I do that, but I prefer loading the whole mag and having fun when I shoot :). I can't comment on the accuracy yet since I'm still relatively new to shooting and am working on my technique. I've got this ammo in 9mm, 380, 223 and 7.62x39 and the 9mm and 7.62 fire/feed/load very well, and I would recommend those to anybody. 223 had to be hammered out of my AR-15 and I've not yet fired the 380."

"This is a good, and surprisingly clean, cheap ammo. I have shot 400 rounds using my H&K USP without any issues. This is a great training ammunition and is decently accurate. I just ordered another 500 rounds and I would recommend buying a box or two, to test before buying bulk, to anyone looking for a good training ammo."

"I ordered 150 rds of this ammo. Took it out and shot it with my Smith & Wesson 40 cal. No FTE or FTF. For practice ammo you can't go wrong. I will be ordering more. Thanks CTD."

"Please dont buy this ammo...Why? Because this is great stuff and soon everyone will start getting it..no this is not match stuff...I shot 500 rounds of reloads in my .40 Springfield XD Sub Compact then I put 2 boxes of this through my pistol without cleaning it..no jams...this real cheap and good stuff..so please dont buy it all...:)"

"This was cheap ammo and overall shot decent. In one magazine though I had 3 failures to eject causing jams each time! That is unacceptable, and I'm sure it wasn't the magazine or my technique causing the issue. I also noticed that it seemed like it didn't have enough momentum pushing the slide back after firing a round at times, which I think caused the jams. I have been shooting a long time and I know when something doesn't feel normal. I'm no expert though. I have another box and if I don't have problems I'll buy the ammo again. Its good range ammo, but no one should ever use this as carry ammo, I wouldn't trust my life to this ever!"

"Just went to the range to test ammo in my new Sig Sauer SP2022, this ammo had a slight hang when chambering the first round but when firing there were no problems for me. After putting 300+ rounds of different ammo downrange and once the barrel and chamber were warmed up I had just one misfeed with this ammo. Not bad at all for plinking practice ammo."

"Reading some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant about this ammo, but I bought 3 boxes and had zero problems going through a Glock 23 Gen 4. Will most definitely be buying more of this ammo!"

"I shot 1000 rds with no problem. I shot them through my S&W Sigma 40. Not one single misfire or problem whatsoever. I was in the military, so I have been trained to clean your weapons meticulously. I have noticed all my friends that have not served, but do shoot, will wait weeks before cleaning their weapons....My point is, this ammo is totally fine for plinking and target practice. JUST CLEAN YOUR WEAPON!"

"Fired 300 of the 500rds I purchased. Flawless no duds, FTF or FTL. Not too accurate or clean but hey, you get what you pay for. I read some of the others guys reviews stating that every few rounds they got a FTF or no power. You must have gotten a bad batch & I do agree with others, TulAmmo has no Q.C. Some of the rounds seemed questionable."

"Just have to say this stuff works.. In my Glock anyway. I've fired 650 trouble free rounds through my gen 4 Glock 23. This stuff seems to be on the lighter side of 180 grains, seems to recoil less than other 180 grain cartridges, but I must say this stuff is just as clean as quality brass ammunition. After 650 rounds in one shooting stint, with no cleaning, my firearm was still pretty clean, no obnoxious amounts of carbon like other \"cheaper\" ammunition. I'm surprised that others have said this ammunition doesn't work in their guns, because it has had zero FTE's or FTF's. My glock eats this stuff like a dog in a bacon factory. Good stuff"

"I bought this ammo for my cheaper S&W Sigma .40, and I have to admit, this is great ammo! I read some reviews on it, and people say it is super dirty, and misfires. I had no such problem, and as for dirty, if you have any respect for your weapons, you clean them once your done using them anyway, so that should never be an issue. If you let the carbon get your pistol all nasty, and leave it for a few weeks, then you deserved it."

"Used it in Beretta CX-4 carbine, very accurate, on par with Fiocchi 165 gr FMJ, better than Winchester 165 gr FMJ. No malfunctions in 150 rounds so far. Very quiet too (slow, subsonic)."

"I have a Jericho 40 that has never had a single problem with any other type of ammo. This junk bids up in the magazine, fails to eject, fails to feed and has just about every other problem you can imagine. Out of about 100 rounds about 40 either failed to feed or failed to eject. I could not get through a single mag without multiple problems. If you want cheap ammo for target practice or training buy the HTM/BVAC reloads, they're super cheap and of the thousands of rounds io those I have fired I have not had a single problem."

"This ammo is absolute crap. From researching after the fact it is ok for rifles and some handguns with sloppy tolerances. I shot it through my glock 23 and bersa 380. I've never once had any jams or misfires with either of these guns till I shot this russian junk. The steel cartridges wear heavily on the ramp and are so roughly finished the first few rounds in a full mag have so much friction they fail to load fully if they load at all. Theres a lot of of unburnt powder leaving the muzzel after each shot. Maybe a bad batch but I bought ten boxes of this junk. Do yourself a favor and buy something else."

"Have been really enjoying this Brand ammo in a Thunder 380, So I got two boxes of 40 cal for my Glock. Loaded 15 in a brand new mag and let it rip tater chip. Nothing but fun happened, so I will probably shoot up some more rounds then get more. The only thing that held up the 5th bullet was that the end of the caseing on some was kinda sharp where it meets the bullet-will have to check into that a little more. I did enjoy a slightly less kick which enhanced trigger control and grouping was good at 8-9 yards."

"I have put 250 rounds through my Xd no jams, misfire, great target ammo. The only reason i rated it a 4 is due to lack of accuracy but other than that its great for the range."

"I have shot around 800 rounds through my H&K USP without many issues. I have experienced two major problems, both times a casing cracked in the chamber, failing to eject, rendering my gun inoperable and both times they had to be hammered out. Other then that and the occasional bad primer I have had no malfunctions. It's not terrible for cheap junk ammo, but you can't depend on it."

"I'm big on value, and this ammo is one of the best deals out right now. Stateside munition factories are big on jacking up the prices whenever they think they can get away with it, but Russian prices tend to flat line around the same cost regardless of the political and economic climates abroad. I'm still not sure why people continue to harp on steel cased surplus ammunition for not being as accurate as its brass, match grade counterparts... they're two completely different beasts. It's accurate enough if you know what you're doing, as as long as you bought a quality firearm to feed this stuff to, you should have zero issues with the steel. Works great out of an XD40, and the price makes it easy to stock up on."

"I shot 300 rounds through my Glock 23 and it performed very well. The cost makes it hard to pass up, especially if all you want to use it for is the range. I'll continue using JHPs for my at home and concealed carry ammo, but overall was pretty good without a single jam or FTF."

"I shot 300 rnds of this stuff last weekend through my M&P and my buddies XD hit the targets where I wanted them to. Zero malfunctions with ether gun. This ammo is cheap and dirty, and so far goes bang every time. Its range ammo for sure but I'm stocking up on it."

"Not a re-loader, so I don't mind the steel stuff. Goes BANG every time and was much easier to control than the Federal Champion I fired with it. Not a brass snob, so I look for the best value. My Glock 22 and XD eat this stuff like candy. If your gun is too sensitive for steel cased ammo, you should probably buy a new gun. It is dirtier than most, but nothing a good cleaning won't fix. Will definitely order more!"

"Shot 100 rds through my S&W M&P 40. Wanted to buy a couple boxes just to test it out. As usual, I was not disappointed at all. It has worked great in my AR-15 also. It ate this stuff up! This is great range ammo. No FTF, FTE, or anything. Smooth as butta. I don't care what I shoot. My main factor is price and this stuff is great. Cheaper than brass and shoots just as well in my opinion. Will definitely be buying more!"

"Added 100 of these to my last order to try because they were about $8 cheaper than the Monarch I've been getting, and I've fired 50 of them through my Taurus PT140 Millennium Pro with zero problems. I'll be ordering a lot more of these in the future if that continues."

"This is great target ammo for the price. I didn't find it dirty as some reviews led me to believe. I put 200+ rounds of it through my XD 40 and M&P 40 sub-compact and it worked outstandingly. No jams, no misfires and very accurate. I would buy it again. For target shooting, you can't beat it."

"Great ammo, great price, and great service from CTD. I was apprehensive about buying rounds with the steel casing, but I was pleasantly surprised. I took my brand new Springfield XD to the range and put 200 of these rounds through it without a single jam or misfire. I was also firing my Glock 23. Again, no problems. I WILL be buying more of this ammo."

"After I ordered this ammo, I read reviews of cracked cases and hammering parts out. Today, I used 500 rounds in one shooting session with one Glock 22. This ammo is not bad at all. I had absolutely no issues with this ammo. No jams, no FTFs, and no FTEs, even though it is slightly under-powered compared to Remington UMC or Hornady Critical Defense. But as a target round, its value is great. The only problems are its accuracy and that it has a steel core, and indoor ranges generally will not let you use them. This ammo is perfect for an outdoor range. Overall, this ammo works great and is not dirty at all. Thanks, CTD."

"the ammo fired fine but when the mag was empty there was not enough recoil to lock the slide open. the rounds were very accurate in my ruger 944T handgun even out to 100 yards just like the more expensive rounds - the slide not locking open happened in 5 out of 10 times using the same mag - i only had the one mag and it worked fine with the more expensive rounds - for just plinking they are fine but i would never use them for anything else"

"I bought a 100 rounds just to take out and plink with my Taurus PT140. It cycled well with a occasional hang-up. Only had 4 in the 100 rounds and all but one of those had to do with loading the first round. It was best to cycle the first round quickly. Otherwise, it's a fine product for the price."

"Good stuff. Bought a couple boxes over time to run through my Glock 22 gen 4 I've had since 2011. Never one jam and actually hella accurate. I can't use these at any indoor range in the area so I've always shot them in the woods at water bottles and cans from about 20 yards and had no problem consistently hitting my targets. I clean my weapons after use and no problems, but I do that after ANY shooting session."
