"I was skeptical of this item due the intent that I was going to put a laser on it. I figured it would not stay still and it would throw the laser off with just a bump. Boy was I wrong. It clamps down on the barrel and does not move. I have a scope on my AR so I was stumped on how to put on a laser for close quarters use and a light. I couldn't put it in front of the scope and defiantly couldn't put it on the bottom where my left hand goes. This mount allowed me to put it in front of the forward grip and out of the way but in line with and very close to the barrel. This mount is great for any accessories that you want to add to your weapon."

"I purchased this tri-rail for my AR-15, with the intention of mounting a bi-pod and a laser to it. It is very high quality and has tight tolerances. Within about a minute, I had removed it from the box and had it snug on my rifle. It fits perfectly and I'm very pleased with it."

"I'VE MY SHARE OF THESE TOO, I LIKE TEAMING WITH THE TOWER MOUNT ARR-048 $17.97, THEN ADD THE SCOPE MOUNT SCP-057 $26.97 SO I CAN GO ALL NIGHT. DON'T FORGET THE EXTRA BATTERIES LIGHT-309 $22.47. JUST IN CASE YOU NEED TO GO MUTI NIGHTS. WAL-MART CAN'T TOUCH THE BATTERIES PRICE. THE SCOPE MOUNT BRACKET ALONE IS WORTH THE $26.97. IF YOU WHAT TO GO ALL NIGHT NOT HAVING TO CHANGE BATTERIES."

"This was one of the first items I purchased from CTD. Other sites offer this exact mount for about twice the price. I figured there was a catch but, it was worth the try. Could not be more pleased. 1 minute install. Fits right around front sight and still allows for sling mount. As for the barrel great fit the adjusting rings leave zero damage or marring to barrel. Did mount a laser to the bottom. 1000 rounds later still in the same spot. Great buy!"

"I have a Model 1 sales light wieght CAR 15 kit. The barrel is to thin to work with the provided bushings. I actually went to my local machinest, and gave him measurments for a new bushing. 6 weeks and an additional $20.00 cash later, and I am finaly shooting, and not constantly readusting and retightening."

"I have an early Colt Match Target HBAR. Neither one of the two adaptor sets did fit. I have to get a custom one made. CTD should put the barrel dimensions on the web so customers know upfront if it fits or doesn\uFFFDt. Besides that: Nicely machined part. Worth 22 bucks if it fits."

"I agree 100% with the other reviews, but they all fail to mention this is a metal part. I wasw afraid it would be plastic, as the same part in my bushmaster catalog is 84.95!"

"I bought this rail system for my Bushmaster M4. I couldn't be happier with the rails. They are very easy to mount and fit snug. After about 500 rounds, I have no problems at all. I highly recommend this rail system."

"IF YOU ARE GOING TO ADD A LIGHT TO YOUR RIFLE,THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED! OTHER SITES & STORES HAVE THIS SAME PART FOR DOUBLE THE PRICE! THE LIGHT I USE WITH THIS IS THE NEWER G2 LED FROM SUREFIRE, WITH THE AIMSHOT PRESSURE SWITCH FROM CHEAPER THAN DIRT FOR ABOUT 10 OR 11 BUCKS! YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH IT."

"It isn't very often that I'm able to catch a good deal, but the price, quality and ease of installation with this item is truly outstanding! I paired it with an inexpensive CTD bipod (BIPOD102 ) and was highly impressed. I doubt that my friends will believe the price...Thanks CTD!"

"This is a great product. Amazing quality. I purchased this TriRail mount and did not notice that it was not compatible with Armalite until after I purchase it. I was nervous that I was going to have to send it back and fins another mounting system for my AR. When it arrived I gave it a shot and it worked perfect with my LEC AR-15 carbine. I did not have to modify it it just went on without any troubles. 3 minutes to install and holds tight on mine. Not to mention that I thought it was going to be made of plastic and it is really metal. Buy one now. It looks great and works even better."

"After weeks of research and pondering I decided to try this mount. It doesn't really fit with the accurizing system on my A2 heavy barrel. However, what I'm discovering is that I'm not happy hanging stuff out towards the business end of my rifle. I am returning this and getting the Quad Rail Forearm. That'll give me plenty of mounting surface at a position I prefer. As far as quality, the mount is good and if it is what you're looking for, you won't be disappointed."

"This is a nicely made mount. However, it will not fit my DPMS lite barrel! My barrel measures .640\" so if yours is .72-.75\" it will most likely fit. I didn't read the fellas below comments or I would not have ordered this> Sold it to a friend that is happy with it. Now I need to find one that will fit my AR. Back to searching for one that is reasonably priced like this one:("

"You won't find a better mount of this type for the money (or for more money). If you aren't using the Leapers quad rail on your carbine, use THIS! Keeps lights and accessories near the line of the barrel and away from your sights. If it doesn't fit, use some imagination. Also, remove that dang sling swivel; get it out of the way. Put a sling mount on the side rail, where it belongs. Coppers, this is a great mount for carbines that must be carried in Squad locks; the mount won't interfere with the lock portion that goes around the forearm. Mounted a bunch of them on department guns - They work Great!"

"Once again I am truely impressed with the quality of something that cost so little.. Thanks CTD! This fit perfectly on my Rock River Tactical. Freed up space on my hand guard rail for adjusting my forward grip to where it felt most comfortable without worrying about lights/lasers/bi pods getting in the way! Plus, this thing looks \"MEAN\" on my rifle! Haha, get one before the price goes up again!"

"I could not get it to line up with the barrel. The closest I came was to mismatching the different inserts that are provided, one big and one small, it seemed to work at first, but after shooting it seemed to work its way out of line again. I tried all different configurations, I messed and messed with it, but I could not get it to work. Now, that being said, it was not out of line by much, maybe 1/16th of an inch, but it was noticeable if you looked at it in line with the barrel, sight tower base, or existing hand guard rails. I am picky, you might not notice, or for whatever reason, it might work with you rifle. I just went with a CAA bayonet lug rail adapter and returned this product. I have a DPMS A2 Carbine."

"THis is perfect if you don't want to change your entire gun adding rail systems. It fits right under the front sight nice and snug and has 3 rails. A light and maybe a laser is all I'll be adding so this is perfect. And it's out of the way being up front, and my comfortable handguards are untouched. It's quality aluminum."

"I had to install this mount reversed on my Stag 3L flat top. It is a very good solid mount. Took me all of 5 minutes to figure it out and get it tightened down. 4 bullets because I had to reverse it. Price is cheaper than dirt and shipping is faster than all getout."

"This is a great mount. Ordered it on a Monday, and it got here on a Tuesday. This mount goes on my AR-15 perfectly and is not off center like some reviews have stated. Took less than 5 min to install. I was torn between the ARR-048 which mounts to the front iron sights and only gives you 2 rails. There were not any reviews comparing the 2 so I thought I would give one. This one is much better. Provides 3 rails vs 2 and allows you to moung a laser, light and a bipod on the bottom mount. It also did not interfere with my shoulder strap ring. I highly recommend the ARR-031 barrel mount over the ARR-048 sight mount for the above reasons."

"I purchased 2 weeks ago for my Bushmaster AR-15. Great rail I gave it four out of five because when I got it home I had to grind it down a little on inside to get it to seat level. It was bottoming out on the bottom of the front sight. With a little grinding everything worked out fine. Overall good product I would recommend."

"NOTICE : This item will not fit as pictured on the Optics Ready M&P. The bottom of the gas block is wider than other blocks. I wound up mounting it backwards and upside-down (from the picture). I moved the Magpul front sight out to the end of the block and put a light & laser on the sides. This item seams well made and fills secure."

"This does exactly what its supposed to, mounts easily, and stays mounted sturdily. I prefer the standard handguards over picatinny style, so this prevented me from having to switch."

"I had my doubts but ordered this mount after reading others' comments and am glad I did. My Bushmaster has a heavy barrel and a factory installed AK style compensator that cannot be removed which concerned me about it working. However, this mount fits perfectly, is rock solid, and perfectly aligned. It allows me to use the factory handguard and sling swivel and mounts the laser and light ahead of the handguard and out of the way. The mount weighs virtually nothing, uses no needed space, and looks great! I very much recommend it!"

"I ordered this for my Spike's Tactical AR-15, which has the short gas tube and handguard. It was installed in minutes. All I had to do was put the in right shims and tighten it up. I'll be mounting a laser and tactical flash light. I did this even with a handguard with rails. It is further forward and out of the way with my short gas tube setup. It is a great, simple solution, we need more of those."

"The product does what it's supposed to. In my opinion, it is way too expensive! The two shims wouldn't go all the way in on my M&P15 but I was able to tighten it up snug enough. Super fast shipping from CTD."

"Bought this for my Bushmaster m4. Mounted in a snap. Was suprised how well it fit and how tight. No movement at all, rock solid. Mounted my bipod on the bottom, sling mount on the side, and my flashlight on the other side. Frees up space on my forearm. I don't have a cluttered bottom forearm rail with a forward grip and bipod anymore. How can you go wrong with this?!"

"Would not fit on my Bushmaster with Magpul forearms due to the extended part of the forearm. Didn't seem like it would clamp down tight either. I sent it back and ordered the rail sections from Magpul. Great customer service from CTD!"

"Doesn't fit around the gas-block of an AR-10. However it does come with some barrel \"sleeves\" that fit snug around the 7.62 NATO barrel. Once screwed down tight it does the job. But it isn't as aesthetically pleasing as it should be if it actually fit around the gas-block.Holds a bipod well."

"Fit snug when cold, good solid workmanship no issues. But when you start shooting and the barrel heats up, it loosens and the bushings fall right out! What good is it if it falls off??"
– Ryan

"I put this on my Colt with ease. It came with a couple different inserts for various size barrels. It is incredibly solid and sturdy. I have a laser/light combo attached to it and it has stood up to a year's worth of abuse. It is much lighter than a quad rail system, and cheaper. I don't want a vertical foregrip so this is a good deal. I think people want the cool factor of all the extra stuff on a rifle (quad rail, accessories, foregrip, etc)...but when you have to hold it for several hours, even with a quality sling, weight is an issue."
– Bigguy63

"After shooting for a while, this will loosen up and slide off or lose the bushings entirely. I have tried everything to make it fit. No go. Light shooting a couple rounds, sure. As soon as the barrel gets hot, expect it to fall off. Thanks but no thanks."
– CTD

"This mount looks nice and goes on easy but it is useless. If you shoot more than 20 to 30 rounds in rapid succession, the barrel heats up and mount expands. The mount comes loose and falls off the bushing. I don't recommend buying it."

"Bought this as a cheap alternative to adding a quad rail foregrip. I was sadly disappointed. I tried 5 ways from Sunday to fit this on my AR 15 and it physically impossible. If you are looking to fit lights and lasers, spend the money and buy what you really want."

"For those who treasure America's modern day musket the ar 15 this utg tri rail is a must. For the price you could not get a nicer add on rail. It looks like it is just for an a2 front. The quality is outstanding even though the box says made in China. It is very well made not plastic but machined aluminum and the finish is perfect.even the spacers are aluminum and this rail, by the looks of it with two sets of spacers should fit anything from a pencil thin sporter ar 15 to a bull barrel"

"Initially I was a bit worried that this tri-rail system would not work with my forward sight. My sight is a mil spec A2 sight, but it has a lower attach point built into it that cannot be moved. BUT!!! It did work, I had to perform a very slight modification (only reason for 4 stars and not 5) but all said and done it was relatively painless and the rail is rock solid. No movement to be found. For the price point, the product cant be beat. Similar items are priced much higher with about equal bu"
