"I had the SOG tomahawk that CTD sells. I traded it for some ammo and thought I would get this one to replace it. I should have just bought a second SOG one. This tomahawk would probably be a good rough-use tool, but it's not as nice as the SOG model. Pay a little extra and get that one in my opinion."

"Took it out and whacked some logs with it to test the handle. Seems fine and for only $12.50 you can't really beat that."

"well. where to start. I got it and it didnt look too bad. throw it once did fine. throw one more time and the handle broke at the head. called the next day and told them what happened and they are going to send me another tomahawk. so I may have just got a bad one. but will see with the other one if its any better"

"First time out I threw it and the handle split right in half."

"This \"replica\" as stated is more for show than go. It's a cheap knock off, yes, but the 440 mystery metal is straining my mettle. The unit looks good, but the steel is marginal and the uncoated edge shows a low quality steel content, knocking off a bullet. It is delivered with a nominal edge, but will require a fair amount of work before any serious use is undertaken. It is not out of the box ready to use, which I give a 2 bullet knock down. The pick end is thick and sturdy. The handle is painted wood and is trimmed down at the head to fit in to the metal. This is maybe why there are reports of the handle snapping off at that point. The hole is too small for a hefty handle, another bullet off. The scabbard is functional crap. So, would I buy it again, nope. Will I send it back, no, but I'd wave the yellow flag at you on this one and recommend you spend a lot more for this type of item, or just buy a good quality hatchet! A one bullet over all rating is the best I can do."

"Just got 3 of these for throwing. Wish I read reviews before I ordered. The heads were so dull they would not cut butter. One handle broke and the other 2 are not far from it. I am looking for replacement handles after one 40 minute throwing session. The heads have use but I wish I had spent more for a hawk that will hold up. These hawks should be discontinued until manufacturing is improved."
