"I am impressed....and so is anyone who has handled this pistol. Solid and well made. Fired over 600 rounds through it so far and runs great. I would have given it 5 BULLETS but it does seem to be picky about magazines. Runs well with the supplied Mec-Gar 8rd blued with plastic follower type mag. I had tried a 7rd steel with rounded follower US made Triple K mag and it would not lock the action open after the last round was fired. Other than that I would highly recommend this pistol to a first time or bargain conscious buyer."

"This semi-auto from Turkey {in Europe} has got to be the best deal on a new firearm that I have seen in a long time. The craftsmanship and workmanship is positively outstanding. The overall appearance is also first class. Time will tell now how well is shoots.Get one!-Donald"

"I own many handguns and plenty of 1911s in the mix; Nighthawk Dominator, two Les Baers, Sig, three Dan Wessons, two Kimbers, three STI, Para, RIA ... and some others... you get the drift. I also hold a 1911 Pistol Smith Certification (among others). I think that some of these Tisas / Regent 1911 models are a great value. After some upgrades these Tisas can be fine guns. The slide and frame materials and workmanship are good. The gun is OK as is for most applications but with ignition, control, slide to frame fit and barrel upgrades they are actually nice guns."

"Bought a Tisas Classic online. Price dropped $15 before my order was processed. CTD would not honor price change. Received pistol, cleaned it and took it out to test. Slide locked open with 1 round left to chamber. Tried 1911 Govt. magazine. Same problem. Cleaned slide latch/safety spring with penetrating oil. Problem disappeared. Next 300 rounds functioned perfectly with excellent accuracy. Great buy."
