"It is what says a 5 point light attachment, but when mounted it becomes a single point attachmment in 5 different positions. You have to loosen the allen screw in order to change position. My advice is spend a little more and buy the safariland rls attachment even though it can only be used on the right or left side of your weapon you could do that without any screws."

"the last reviewer obviously didn't understand how to use it. I have two of these and they are great. The worst part is most CAA stuff doesn't come with any instruction. They assume you know how to figure it out. This is exactly a 5 position light attachment. You can quickly change to any one of the 5 positions. To do this, you simply pull the light backward toward the trigger (while the base doesn't move) then you can swivel it to any of the 5 positions. It requires simple assembly but be mindful. They give you two pushbutton rods. Not because they're generous, but they are one for different rail styles you have (picatinny/weaver)! Again, no directions, you just have to figure that part out. The only legitimate negative to this item is that when it is in the 9 o'clock position (weapon left) it is covering the quick release button and you can't remove it from the weapon without changing the lights position. But even, then it only takes 1 second to change position. You do NOT have to remove screws to change anything on this.Hope this helps."

"This thing works exactly as advertized. It is strong and rigid when mounted. It swivels and locks into 5 positions and was a general no-brainer. If the need arises, I would buy another one in a second. The spring is stiff and difficult to swivel until you mount it. That gives plenty of leverage to change positions quite easily."

"Best price around. Thanks CTD! Very easy to install. I sleep better having it attached to a Surefire G2 on my AR"

"This thing is great! This takes the place of an offset mount and light mount all in one. I was a bit worried about the fact it's not made out of metal, but I got this thing in hand, and it is solid! You have to figure out the sweet spot on the hinge screw if you want to use the quick reposition functions, but once you find it, it's gold. It has a heavy hinge spring and a longer tongue and groove locking system mean you won't have to worry about the mount popping out of position while shooting or maneuvering. The whole thing mounts easily and securely, just give it some thought about where you really want it before you slap it on, because in certain positions, the light tube covers the access for the mounting screw. Overall, a well thought out, quality, durable product! Definitely recommend!"

"This mount is awesome. There are two ways to mount it - forward or reverse - and it has five positions of light observation."
