Most Federal troops during the Civil War were armed with either the 1861 Springfield musket or the 1853 Enfield musket. This beautiful reproduction of the 1861 Springfield is made for Taylor's & Co by Chiappa, and features a lock marked "1861 Springfield" with an eagle. The one piece stock is oil-finished walnut and like the original musket, a swelled ramrod is included. The forged steel rifled barrel has a white satin finish.
