"I purchased this gun to commemorate the 100th anniversary of John M. Browning inventing the 1911. You know he originaly designed his pistol in this caliber, before it was changed to .45ACP for Colt and the Military. This 1911 is a real tribute to Browning. It has everything the original offered and a lot more. It includes Taurus' 19 Custom Features which makes it a real value. It looks good with the Black Grips, but I would recommend getting the Pearl Grips for it. You can get them directly from Taurus. The Pearl Grips, together with this guns' Polished Blue Finish and Gold Accents make this pistol look very elegant and classy. In fact, with the pearl grips, this gun gets a \"5 Bullet\" Rating from me. Taurus offers the Pearl Grips for about $56.I am thrilled with the accuracy of this gun. I shot a 2.5\" group @ 50' on my first try! I had never shot a group smaller than 3 inches with a handgun before. As for .38 Super, this gundelivers all the energy of a .45ACP, but with less recoil. For you reloaders, you know that 9mm class bullets cost less to reload than .45 caliber do. If you don't reload, then you are likely to find that the ammo. costs about the same, but is not as easy to find."
