"takes a little file work to make fit properly but is welll worth the effort makes ejecting mag much easier"

"I got this product a few months ago for my Yugo SKS..despite what it says, it will fit the yugo..just needs some shaving on the grooves to fit, but it will work for it. It makes loading detach mags a breeze..highly reccommend getting some TAPCO mags to go with it..they work perfectly with each other..now if only TAPCO would make some 30rnd mags for the SKS..."

"Bought one for my Yugo and just like the previous review it definately will fit the Yugoslavian model. Mine didnt need any shaving at all. It fit right in. And I agree. Tapco needs to make 30rd mags for the SKS."

"Very nicely made piece, nice tight fit, helps the magazine stay in place better as well. Maybe a little to tight, but will break in with use. Only issue I had was with my Norico SKS. The retaining pin was VERY tight! Glad I had a press to get it out! Just use penetrating lube, and patience when removing the pin! Once again fast delivery from CTD! Thanks guys!"

"Does need to be modified to fit a Yugo, took me about 5 minutes with a dremel tool. Works well once its modified to fit though, much nicer than the stock mag catch, especially when using Tapco mags etc."

"Purchased these from CTD, received in 3 days (fantastic!). Installed in about 15 min, I did have to use a fine sand disc on the Dremel to get it to slide on, but I would rather have it too snug than to loose. I love this product and CTD!"

"Bought this catch for my Chinese SKS so I could use the 30rd Tapco mag easier. I love the extension this gives me, it is so much easier to insert and remove mag. It also helps that you can keep on target while changing mags. I did have to file groove just a little to install in the weapon. It only took me a few minutes so no big deal."

"Installed this on my 78' Yugo, needed zero modification. Much easier to get your finger on than the factory mag release. It doesn't seen to travel as far back as I would liked. So I'm going to see if i can't shave some off to get more travel for easier mag switching. Over all GREAT product from Tapco."

"I love the look and feel this thing has compared to my stock catch. I did have a bear of a time getting the pin out and i had to trim the spring down a little so that it would release the mag. If it wasn't for the spring trim I would give this all five bullets."

"The catch was easy to change out, and the new one is much easier to operate. I was worried that it might break, but once installed it feels very solid. It's one of the best practical upgrades I did on my detachable mag SKS."

"If you have detachable mags on your SKS, this is a must have. Easy install, works great, fits great. Wish it was metal but is a very solid plastic at least."

"This is made of cheap plastic and it caused my trigger grouping to get misaligned somehow. This is not recommended unless you\uFFFDre simply going for a cool look. I\uFFFDll admit it looks pretty when coupled with the Tapco stocks. Not good for functionality. 1 bullet"

"pro mag sells the 30 round mag. with a little modification on the top sides makes a good fit. but yes it would be nice if tapco made them also."
