"Tapco thanks for a great american product at a great price.Simple and reliable. I don't like the Ak wood so this resolves several problems very easily. In the Saiga .308 you can make it float and retain the front part with a simple long pin clipped."

"The Picatinny rails are plastic. Not great plastic. I mounted a bipod on the lower rail and the first day out, the front 1/4 of the rail cracked off. Not a job for superglue. I moved the bipod aft and it hasn't cracked again, but these rails really should be solid metal for a gun part. The handguard itself is solid, I'll say that up front. I recommend a mallet to tap in the guide below the barrel. Great handguard. Overall, TAPCO makes some good stuff. The handguard and buttstock perform great and are the same color."

"Heavy duty, easy install, and parts match. Might change to metal rails later, but plastic ones are fine for now. Cheap and fast, thanks CTD"
